> 3 dayThis is actually my third Flip 5; the other 2 were gifts. I already own several BT speakers in the JBL line, from the Clip to the Charge to the Xtreme. After hearing it several times at sisters home (niece was one of the recipients from my earlier purchases), I liked it so much I bought another one for myself. The sound stage is excellent for a mono speaker. At low to medium volumes, it plays really well. The bass thins out as the volume goes up, which is pretty much true for most BT speakers. Compared it side by side with a friends Xtreme 2 and was pleasantly surprised at how well it kept up with the much bigger speaker. In fact, only the bass of the XT2 was slightly better than the Flip 5. If youre conversing with company at the dinner table, then this is a great complement to stream some great music. It may be lacking if youre having a huge gathering in the backyard outdoors though. (Probaby depends on what kind of music is being played too.) Chained 2 Flips about 10 feet apart and the sound was really impressive. The portability makes it easy to stuff into a backpack or carry-on. Its on sale now (but I actually scored an even lower price when a B&M had a sale that lasted only a few hours) and a great buy. Probably the only real competition in this price range would be the Anker Soundcore Motion+, which Id check out if I didnt already jump this great little speaker. The only con I can think of is that its a very directional speaker, with best results when the one driver is facing the listener. Off axis and the sound seems distant.

Greater than one weekSound is awesome. Very lightweight and easy to carry. I wish this stayed charged longer. I play it for about 6 hours and have to charge it because it wont last very long.

> 3 dayVery good sound, loud for small unit. I’ll post later to see how much battery life. So far he charged on Christmas Day and its still going.

> 3 dayI purchased my first JBL Flip 5 almost a year ago, and throughout that time Ive really enjoyed using it. The size is nice, and the battery life has been outstanding. I very rarely have to charge it despite using it several days per week, sometimes for multiple hours at a time. One feature that I wish this speaker offered is a wired audio input. Im fine with using it through Bluetooth with something like my phone, but having a wired input would come in handy at times.

My opinions only
> 3 dayGot my order today charged it first then was excited to see how it sounds. Man I was so disappointed with the sound. You would think the base would be awesome with the way the ends are made, but no!! They sound bad. Like no base at all. It was all treble and there is nothing you can do about it. I have already printed the return label and sending it back tomorrow.

> 3 dayproduct was great, awesome sound, nice and compact. i did return this but only because it was not loud enough for what i wanted my partner has the charge 3 and that was great so i got the CHARGE 4 to replace it. and TBH not a great deal of change in how loud it is sadly. . however im not changing again. both great speakers. i think the sound quality is better on the flip 5. but the charge 4 is slightly louder. i will be keeping the charge 4 but great speakers all round

> 3 dayThis BT speaker is exceptional. It has thumping bass, nice mid range and high end. Do yourself a favor and dont go cheap on speakers, you truly will get what you pay for on this.
