I misread the description and didn’t realize I was getting a monitor sized for a small MacBook. I have a 16” Windows based laptop. The good news is that it doesn’t just work on MacBooks. The monitor comes with a base plate that can be attached to the back of your laptop screen so that it becomes part of your laptop. It connects via a USB-C connection and is easy to connect and disconnect. There is a USB-C cord built in so that you don’t have a long cord to worry about when it is installed on your laptop. There is also a magnetic metal cover plate to protect the screen from damage during transport when closed. I didn’t want the screen permanently affixed to my laptop, so I use it as a separate unit. I use a regular USB-C to USB-C cable to connect as I need a little more distance than the built in one provides. This cable came with the monitor as well. I actually use the monitor in a portrait orientation with the baseplate as a base on the table next to my laptop. It works perfectly for my needs. The display size is only 6” x 10.25”, though, because of the size I ordered. Next time I’d get a larger one if possible. The monitor gets its power from the laptop so there are no other power supplies needed. The monitor has a built in speaker that can also be used for your audio output. Now for the display. The monitor has a matte anti-glare display. I’m used to a glossy high-resolution screen, so the matte display is not my favorite. The display colors are not as true either. The gray shows up with a pinkish hue unless you turn the brightness up and then it’s almost blue. There is a single wheel control for all of the settings. If you push it, a menu will come up that lets you adjust brightness, contrast, color, and a myriad of other settings through pushing and scrolling. There is even a low blue light setting, but that makes the display very yellow. I haven’t figured out the best mix of red, green, and blue to give me the white background that I want, but since I only use the monitor for text (mainly spreadsheets) I’m not as worried about the color.

Works very well on my small size Macbook screen. No extra cable is needed to connect, the cable is attached to the monitor itself. Made of metal kind material but still light weight and very easy to carry around.

This is pretty much the perfect monitor for a smaller MacBook. It is super easy to setup, works seamlessly, and its very easy to travel with due to the protection panels, making it secure and portable. Its nicely constructed as well - which is important for something you might want to throw in a backpack - which you will want to do with this. It attaches so easily to the primary screen - which is a big bonus when it comes to these as usually you need a stand etc for a secondary monitor. NOT having that makes this worth buy on its own, but all of the above AND the fact that its got great picture quality is a big plus as well. Overall this is a solid choice for a secondary monitor for a MacBook. I highly recommend it!

Probably the best investment this year so far. Love this portable monitor so much. Smooth bezel, is lightweight, and fit my Mac. No extra cable hang around my laptop. Easily fit into my handbag and backpack. Come with two screen protectors one made of metal and the other made of leather. Best purchase this year!!!

Love this external portable monitor, it was designed for Macbooks. Compatible with my Macbook 13.3. It comes with a extra type C cable, also compatible with my PC laptop.

I am looking for a dual monitor recently and did a lot of research before I placed this purchase. I am thoroughly impressed with this product! The design of the monitor is stunning, with an Apple-like aesthetic that perfectly complements my MacBook. The monitor is incredibly slim, which makes it easy to pack into my bag and take with me wherever I go. o the coffee shop, the library, even on long flights - and it fits seamlessly into my work or study routine. And when Im finished using it, its just as easy to pack up and take with me, without adding any unnecessary weight or bulk to my bag. It is worthy to make this purchase.
