Installation is much more difficult that their video makes it look. The glass doesnt come off as easily and tends to break and chip into many little pieces. Its quite messy. I ended up watching a 30 minute video on YouTube just to be sure. Also, even after removing the protective cover, the glass was heavily scratched across the backside. I checked and there wasnt a protective cover used on the backside nor did the vendor supplied video show that there was one to remove before completing the final step. The vendor supplies a spool of thing red adhesive tape...this too isnt mentioned in the video so I had to figure out what it was used for. My installation took quite a while so work patiently and methodically.

I had no issues swapping it over and it fixed the issue with the crack in the old screen. I thought the replacement was much easier than the usual swap for anything made by Apple - it took me less than 15 minutes. Theres really not much to say - it was easy to swap and it works great.

The tools supplied break very easily to include the wedges, pry tool, and even the razor blade. No instructions were included in the package. I used a video from another product to make the repair.

My husband replaced our 8 year old’s iPad screen with this. First, the wrong color was sent. A bit aggravating, but not the end of the world. Our kiddo just wanted to be able to use his iPad again. My husband has done this a LOT (replaced screens). He is an IT Director and has been in IT his whole life, so he’s very technically savvy, too. However, my point in stating he’s done this a lot is important, I believe, because he absolutely knows what he’s doing and is very comfortable replacing screens on all types of tablets and cell phones. The screen arrived on time and was in perfect condition. As I noted, they sent a black screen, we ordered a white. Whatever. He sat down and went over the instructions to be sure (not a brand he’s worked with specifically) he wasn’t missing anything. He finished pretty quickly, and put it somewhere hidden to dry or whatever (I am NOT good at these things, lol) and gave it to our son two days later when he returned from his Grammy’s. 3/4 of the screen worked. Then within an hour, half of it worked. It went in and out, but the entire screen never worked at one time. Our son is 8. This was very upsetting. My husband is busy- he was very annoyed that he ordered this and knows he did the job correctly only to have ANOTHER screen that doesn’t work and a kid who was so sad and disappointed. I was/am aggravated. We spent the money, it didn’t work. We had to buy ANOTHER screen. I had to deal with a grumpy hubby and miserable child.

My daughter got her iPad when she was 2 years old. This is the third time i have replAced her screen and she will be turning 5 in a few months. I love this model of iPad because the LCD is not build into the glass - thus making the fix 15x cheaper. The first fix took me about 45 minutes so i could meticulously do it so i did it right. The second fix about the same This time it took me about 35 minutes total to complete, but had a few complications like dust and i had to un-install the manufacturer home button and re install it into the new screen. If you do this repair as is it wouldn’t take me longer than 25 minutes. BUT i take the extra time to disassemble the home buttons. ONLY the manufacturers button that matches your model number(unless otherwise replaced by Apple) will work with the fingerprint ID. ALL OFF PARTY BUTTONS will DISABLE this fingerprint function in the iPad. So this is an important step that is tedious and requires patience and extra glue. I bought a previous screen that had a like.. pattern to the glass? Maybe it was tempered? It was weird - this screen doesn’t have that and it is crystal clear. Shipping was PRIME - 2 day Definitely highly recommend.

Attaching the screen was effortless. Removing the old screen was most of the work. There were no issues with adhesion or the screens quality. Touch works. The button works. It is important to note that third-party Home buttons do not support Touch id functionality, so be prepared to use your old button if you want to use Touch id functionality. Great product.

Very easy to install with the tools provided in the kit. Works flawlessly! Will buy from again when kids break another screen.

It can be troublesome and somewhat dangerous removing a shattered screen, so make sure you have a clear area and wear hand and eye protection. Once the old screen is removed, this one is easily installed and sticks in with the included double sided tape.
