> 3 dayJunie B Jones is the silliest little girl ever. I love reading all the junie b jones. Sometimes when Im reading about her I picture one of my daughters in my minds eye. I laugh until I cry. I know some have wrote reviews about how she talks and some of the words being misspelled but hey, she is a kindergartener. Then a first grader. She is right where she is supposed to be with her spelling. And cant we just let them be little? Anyways I love the books and so do my kids. And they make for some awesome family reading time!

Greater than one weekDo NOT buy this book for your child who is learning to read. The vocabulary and grammar is HORRIBLE! She spells words as a child would think they sound, meaning that your child learns to read the word as it is spelled incorrectly. She starts sentences with and and but. She abbreviates words constantly, (Ex: Cause I want to…) She uses made-up words that are difficult for a child to sound out. And Junie is a little brat. I dont want my child learning these types of behaviors. Dont waste your money on this garbage!

> 3 dayMy Granddaughters and I love junie b jones! They are taught proper english at home so part of the fun is laughing at junies incorrect way of speaking. They and I find it really silly. We cuddle up and read and laugh at all junies silly antics. We are just happy they love to read and think getting books as a gift is great!

> 3 dayMy 7 year old granddaughter had to bring the books to me constantly trying to figure out the meaning of a sentence.

> 3 dayWhen my two granddaughters, ages 6 & 7, showed me how excited they were for these books, I was glad to get them for Christmas. Anybody that excited about reading made it a pleasure to buy them.

> 3 dayHave you read Junie B Jones? I just purchased the box set and began reading them to my kindergartener. I was horrified from the beginning at the very attitude and rude, ignorant spirit of Junie B Jones. She hates her name, the bus, the people on it, the teacher and her new school. What a negative thing to meet someone on the bus and instantly HATE them. Is this the kind of human interactions that we should be teaching our children? She yells, throws fits and generally has attitude about everything. The grammer is written from a 6 year olds perspective, which does nothing to educate our children about the way things should be phrased. This is not the picture of kindergarten, nor the worldview that I would suggest to my children or anyone elses for that matter. After 4 chapters, the entire series is in the trash as a waste of money. Think twice about what you are reading to your impressionable young children (or letting them read for themselves!)
