It is very stable. Not worried about stability when placing my portable monitor on it.

Great stand for my Asus monitor. I bought this to use at my desk to hold my extra Asus computer stand. It looks and works so great that one of my co workers bought the exact same one.

Just arrived. This thing takes some effort to open and set the angles. If it maintains its rigidity it will be awesome. It holds my Surface pro 6 with about 2 sticking out either side, and no laptop flop when typing on the screen. I was debating between the black and silver, but really like the finish of the silver. The soft pads on the back and feet are not mushy, and the steepest forward leaning angle will not allow your tablet to tip. The laser cuts in the aluminum are sharp but there is no risk of cutting even the softest skin. Overall, I think a 5 star review is actually warranted.
