Kaytee Clean & Cozy Natural Small Animal Pet Bedding 24.6 Liters

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK FOR GREEN PLASTIC PIECES IN THIS BEDDING! I was utterly shocked when I found multiple pieces of plastic in the bedding. Luckily, this was my first use from the bag. I try to always keep an eye out for this kind of thing. I have been lucky and never had any problems. BEFORE this batch I was obsessed with the stuff. The bedding is great on its own..... I really just want everyone to keep their Guinea Pigs safe! Be on the lookout and take photos and write reviews if this happens to you!

My rats love this bedding and just look comfortable on it. It also does a great job of hiding the scent and is easy to clean. It expands a LOT so you can get quite a few cleanings out of just one bag.

Good product and price!

I prefer this bedding over the wood chips and I think my guinea pig does too. I dont have to use as much of it since it expands, so it lasts a lot longer. I have never had any problems with mites, but I have also been putting them in the freezer for two days, like other reviews recommended.

We always get this brand for critters.

I bought the 55L and was charged for it, but when the package arrived it was the 12.3L. Not even close to what I wanted.

Yeah, its biodegradable; however, this creates its own issue. For one, okay...it works as bedding. But thats where the positive stops. Something about the chemical process used to treat the paper to MAKE it biodegradable caused rashes on at least 3 of the 5 people living in our home. That wasnt even with touching the bedding itself -- it was with handling the guinea pigs who had been IN the bedding! It wasnt until we got an additional pair of guinea pigs that we discovered the issue was the bedding and not a guinea pig allergy. Handling those guinea pigs didnt create any rash. Also, if you have a bottle that leaks, the bedding gets sopping wet and starts to stink. THEN it gets moldy and extra musty. TL;DR: I thoroughly do not recommend this product. It caused a rash on 60% of the household members.

This pet bedding isn’t as good as it used to be. It used to come in larger chips. Now it’s smaller and more dusty.

I threw it away immediately after I listened to my rats having sneezing fits in the middle of the night shortly after it was in their cage. Switched to wood shavings and it stopped.
