Kester 24-6040-0053 Solder Roll, 66 Core Size, 0.050 Diameter

This is the industry standard for electronics. It wets easily and make an extremely strong chemical bond. I make microphone and instrument cables and the .050 size is the perfect size. Note its a bit easier use if to pull some off the 1lb spool - until you use about of third of it.

I have used a lot a desolder braids and I can honestly say this is by far the best I have used. It picks up solder with very little effort. Finally found a trusted product.

Its rosin core 60/40 solder. it melts, sticks to wires and goes solid again and there is enough here to cover my needs for the next decade or so. What more can you ask of solder.
