> 3 dayThere are less expensive solders with matching specs for a few dollars less, but this mfg has been around a long time, and consistently exceeds my expectations.

Greater than one weekWhen it comes to solder and the best brand, Kester is at the top. Ive been in the electronics industry for almost 30 years and Ive tried other cheaper brands, no one comes close.

> 3 dayPros: 1. Looks expensive but this is basically a lifetime supply of solder because I will probably never use a whole pound. 2. For me, .031/.8mm is great for general purpose. 3. Made in USA 4. They were not stingy with the rosin, which comes bubbling out of every joint I solder. 5. Flows very well and melts quickly. 420 degrees F has been a great temp to start at for small contacts and thin gauge wires. Cons: 1. Leaded, but I knew that going in. Work in a well ventilated area and wash your hands thoroughly afterward. Also, keep your work area clean. Leaded seems to be the only way to go if you want the best results.

Greater than one weekI think it was the size, but theres a lot of flux that comes out of this.

> 3 dayGreat solder. One of the best I’ve used. I mainly build effect pedals as a hobby. I’ll definitely get another spool soon, definitely a larger diameter. I feel I use too much of this one. Other than that it’s great.

> 3 dayAmazing solder, it honors its manufacturer reputation. Just a keynote: be sure you have the proper iron for the job with the proper temp control. For my application, I use a 350C for this solder
