Kingston 480GB A400 SATA 3 2.5 Internal SSD SA400S37/480G - HDD Replacement for Increase Performance

SSDs are great storage devices for reviving older tech that might have gotten bogged down with age. I am very happy with this particular SSD since I was able to noticeably speed up my desktop pc without breaking the bank. Startups are much quicker, so is browsing and using memory hogs like cad engines.

2 year old Lenovo is much faster now. When booting, hard drive used to be stuck at 100% now it does not go above 10% use. Had to use Microsoft usb media creator from web site to install win10 from scratch.

It speeds things up, makes it quieter, saves power, all at the same time. Space saving too if you are running multiple drives in a desktop, as I am. These mini ATX towers can get pretty tight.

Its a cheap basic SSD one step up from a high end USB flash drive. Used mine in an older Dell Optiplex with Ubuntu and so far so good after a week.

It was so simple to install and has preformed greatly so far!

Ive been a fan of these disks for several years now.. Ive probably purchased 10 or so for various things. Out of the box, no problems. They function like normal disks and will be way faster than any HDD. However, out of the 10 that I have bought, Ive already had 2 fail in the same way. The first failed within a year, taking with it a whopping TB of irreplaceable files, and now just a few days ago a second disk failed in a different laptop after only 2 years of use. same thing, the disk just decides it no longer wants to boot or show up as a connected drive. CHEAP IS AS CHEAP DOES. Luckily I was able to get the first one replaced as it was within their 3 year warranty, but I dont even trust the replacement at this point. Dont waste your time and frustration on these disks. Get an alternative from a name brand, dont compromise when it comes to your data.

Wonderful increase in boot time and opening and changing apps/programs is a delight. Has drastically increased the overall performance of my laptop.
