We use these at my work all the time for their low cost and longevity. They are way more reliable that the hynix or intel drives that all our dells come with.

The drive itself works okay but having to find and use free cloning software is a huge headache. I have tried cloning my original drive with Macrium Reflect like others recommend but the drive will not boot and it refuses to copy every file. The cloned partition is always 4 GB smaller than the original and it says windows is missing files and windows recovery disk does not work. Ive bought 6 samsung SSDs and every clone with their software worked flawless. Next time I will gladly pay more and save myself the time and headache.

Hand this little thing to upgrade my old HP desktop, the read and write speed fast, very worth to have per its price.

Easy to install. It would be amazing if they include, at least, the head of the screwdriver needed

Ordered the 240GB SSD for my MPC. When I installed the drive it didnt show up and I thought the problem was the MPC. I tried the drive in two computers, and it wouldnt show up on either.

Seems just fine like any other 240G SSD. Among the name brands, I just shopped on price and this one is fine. Adding an SSD is the best bang for your buck to add some zip to that old laptop if you have adequate memory, and this drive transformed a dumpster dived pig of a Dell Vostro into a usable machine.

I bought one of these to upgrade my computer about a year ago and it took six months to actually install it (it was my boot drive so I needed to do some tinkering to get windows onto it). Three months after installing, my computer starts randomly restarting and booting into the bios. Two months after that, the SSD is toast. Bought another one figuring it maybe had something to do with how long it was in my machine without actually running anything. So I buy another one to give that a shot and the new one is DOA.

Incredible speeds plus rock-solid reliability - Kingston"s A400 solid-state drive dramatically improves the responsiveness of your existing system with incredible boot, loading and file transfer times compared to mechanical hard drives. Powered by a latest Gen controller for read and write speeds up to 500MB/s and 450MB/s, this SSD is 10x faster than a traditional hard drive for higher performance, ultra-responsive multi-tasking and an overall faster system. Also more reliable and durable than a hard drive, A400 is built with Flash memory. There are no moving parts, making it less likely to fail than a mechanical hard drive. It"s also cooler and quieter, and its shock and vibration resistance makes it ideal for notebooks and other mobile computing devices. A400 is available in multiple capacities from 120GB-480GB to give you all the space you need for applications, videos, photos and other important documents. You can also replace your hard drive or a smaller SSD with a drive big enough to hold all your files. Backwards compatibility to SATA Rev. 2.0 (3Gb/s).
