i use this as a boot drive, windows boot time cut to lees that half the time from a 7200rpm drive.be sure to keep at least 20% drive space free anytime you go beyond 80% drive usage the speed of this hard drive significantly drops , at times it can get even slower than a 7200rpm drive, this is normal for ssds and nothing to be alarmed by, just be sure to keep an eye on your usage.

When I first got it I was expecting a very light cheap plastic drive for the price, but nice weight and feels good, installation is as easy as putting it into the SSD slot and plugging your SATA cable into it. All I had to do was format it and it was good to go instantly. Very fast, I first installed watch dogs 2 onto it, loading it up for the first time usually takes 1:50 to 2:00 minutes, on a 1 year old 7200 rpm HDD, I would go onto my phone while waiting. My first bootup of the game, the main loading screen loaded in about 10 seconds, all I could do was unlock my phone and the game already loaded! Recommend this a lot for anyone on a budget.

Used this to replace a spinning disk HDD in a laptop. No troubles with install or usage.

I had a 4-5 year old HP laptop that was starting to show its age--slow. I made an image of the original hard drive using Macrium Reflect 7 Free Edition (Great Product) then then replace the drive with the SSD. Restored the drive image to the laptop. Needed to check a box to allow the image to be restored to a different size drive. Had the system up and running in about 30-40 min.

Installed on 10 years old Toshiba laptop. It is very fast.
