> 3 dayI like to experiment with various operating systems, so I bought two of these as a platform. They are working exactly as I expected. If they last another year, Id give them a 5 star rating.

> 3 dayThis may be the greatest SSD ever made but getting it to fit into a 3.5 drive bay is a nightmare. Amazon sells plenty of 2.5 to 3.5 convertors but the one I bought (made by Sabrent) doesnt come close to fitting. Thats not Kingstons fault, right? Why doesnt Kingston make a 3.5 SSD and save us the trouble of convertor kits that dont work?

> 3 dayI bought this to upgrade my laptop from a HDD to an SDD. It arrived on time and packaged well. I plugged it into my laptop via a SATA to USB cable. Cloned my HDD to the SSD. powered off the laptop and swapped them out. The SSD booted up flawlessly and much quicker than my SSD. Very happy so far.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace a hard drive on an older HP Pavilion laptop. I will say that Amazon could not confirm that it was fit my model number (DV6-7138us) but I took a chance based on the size and it fit with no problems. I found the installation to be pretty simple after watching a video on You Tube and downloading free software from Partition Wizard (mini-tool software) to clone my old hard drive. I also bought a USB-SATA adapter from Amazon so I would not have to reinstall windows. Simply connect the adapter into the new SSD hardrive and USB port on the computer to clone the old hard drive. Once that was complete using the software I switched out the hard drive by removing the carrier that holds it in place and replacing with the new one. The new SSD drive is working perfectly and my computer does boot up quickly (like 10 seconds or less). I mainly bought it out of concern that my old hard drive was failing and this one is great so far. I was not sure what size SSD hard drive to buy and I didnt want to spend a whole lot so I went with the 256 GB and it fit my needs perfectly as Im only using about 100 GB with 80-100 word documents and 400-500 pictures saved on it in addition to the Microsoft Office Suite. My old hard drive was still working but my computer would not consistently boot properly although it did when I cloned it. If your hard drive has failed, I believe you would need to download a new operating system which is available for free from Microsoft if using Windows as long as you have the original 25 digit product key code that came with the computer. Mine was stamped on the bottom of the laptop. This is not needed if you clone your hard drive but may be necessary if your old hard drive is not functioning. Its only been a few days but so far I am very pleased with this hard drive from Kingston.

> 3 daySize is smaller than listed only about 110 GB not 120 GB as advertized. Seems to work OK so far. Bummer it does not come with cloneing software like the Samsung SSD drives do.
