For the price the KLIM Shift isnt a bad option keyboard, I had some questions for them and Customer Services got back to me rather quickly as I wanted to know about the keycaps and switches which they answered in detail. I ordered some additional keycaps from amazon so once they get here then I will finish my customization. Backlight, Bluetooth and wireless dongle all work as described overall I am enjoying it a lot. Bit of advice swap out the keycaps and switches to those that you preferred most of these types of keyboards come with cheap feeling keycaps or that may just be me. For the price of this you save a lot more and can spend the extra funds on new keycaps and switches that suit your needs. overall its worth the price.

Box contents: Keyboard, USB-A to USB-C cable, plastic keycap puller, metal switch puller, and two spare switches, and set of white keycaps. This is the first keyboard I’ve had with tactile mechanical switches. I found that I’m not a fan of tactile switches; I greatly prefer linear switches, but that’s an easy change since this keyboard is 3-pin and 5-pin hot-swappable. The switches are Jixian brown tactile switches. These seem half decent compared to the Jixian black linear switches that came on another keyboard I purchased, but I’m still not a fan of the tactile feel. This keyboard would still be better served with some better quality switches than the Jixian switches, even if you like tactile switches. The keyboard is a small 65% keyboard, and it’s fairly lightweight, but still pretty rigid. The plate is coated steel, and the top frame is held onto the plate magnetically. This keyboard is tri-mode, so it’s capable of being used wirelessly using either the dongle or Bluetooth, or it can be used plugged in with a USB-C cable. The button to switch modes is on the bottom of the keyboard. I tried each method without issue. On the back, there is a slot that magnetically retains the wireless dongle when it’s not being used, which is great for keeping track of your dongle. There a USB-C port for charging and for wired connection, and an on/off switch located on the back. On the bottom, there is a mode button with indicator lights to switch between wired, wireless, and Bluetooth. You can toggle between devices using Fn + Q, W, or E. Instructions on how to connect to Bluetooth in the manual were clearly stated and easy to follow. There is a layer of foam inside the keyboard. It’s not the noisiest out of the box, and I think the steel plate has something to do with that. The sound profile could certainly be further adjusted by changing the type of foam inside and lubricating the switches will also help. Since I prefer linear switches, I opted to change out the tactile switches for linear ones. I added o-rings to the keycaps, and the sound of the keyboard is a more dampened, closer to my liking. When you press Fn + Win to engage the Windows lock, it activates the Windows Start menu. It does still lock the Win key, so that you won’t accidently activate it while gaming, but you’ll have to close the menu after turning on the Win lock. Just a minor inconvenience. I’ve only encountered this anomaly on one other keyboard, which is incredibly similar to the KLIM Shift. They probably share a common PCB, among other things. For what you get for the price, this is a pretty good keyboard. With the second set of keycaps, the easily removable top frame, and a hot-swappable PCB, this board is worth the money if you’re in the market for a 65% keyboard. It’s certainly a great platform if you plan to modify it.

Honestly the best mechanical keyboard I have found at this price that comes with this many features it comes with two sets of keycaps, one in white and the other in black which is great for customization. The board is also hot-swappable with any 5-pin or 3-pin switches and comes with software to change the RGB modes. It also comes with a USB dongle for wireless mode but can also be used with Bluetooth and USB C cable for wired use if thats whats you prefer. The most surprising feature for me was the plate foam they use which was a nice touch to prevent the board from sounding hollow. This board is a hidden gem and I cannot recommend it enough.

I really like this keyboard just because of its customization. I have an Xbox and it was really hard to find a keyboard that I could customize on the fly. This keyboard has red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet and each of the colors are great and stand out but the colors are slightly off compared to other LED and RGB devices in my setup. The sound of the switches are great but they get louder the more you click them. The keyboard also supports up to three bluetooth devices that you can switch between on the fly. I like the vibrant RGB when using the white key caps. The key caps have a very nice texture as well. But there is a few things that I dont like and that could be improved. - Black key caps dont show RGB very well - key cap puller scrapes the keys when removed - do NOT use the switch puller EVER -keyboard doesnt support separate USB-C cords for charging

KLIM Shift Wireless Mechanical Keyboard 60% + Hotswap, RGB, Extra 69 keycap Set + Backlit Keyboard Mini Wireless 2.4Ghz & Bluetooth 60% Percent Gaming Keyboard + PC Gamer Win/Mac + New 2022 This is such an impressive board. It comes with two sets of keycaps and the overall quality is fantastic. The budget brown switches stock are pingy with unacceptable levels of spring noise. When properly lubed, they sound very nice. Not very smooth, though. Overall has has a crisp feel with a high actuation point, not much stem wobble. The brand is Jixian, and they are pretty much as budget as can get. Surprisingly good though. The board sports a tray mount design as expected, with a daughter board for the USB-C port and power switch. There are a lot of nice little design choices that sets this board apart from a sea of competitors. The top plate is steel, not aluminum, and this is by design as the top skirt has magnetic inserts for easy removal. I hate skirts that have those plastic tabs that make it a pain to remove. This one just easily comes off given the magnetic design. Very impressive!! There is also a dedicated magnetically secured slot for the 2.4G wireless dongle. Has two step adjustable flip out feet. The PCB has north facing RGB LEDs and plate mount stabs. The stabs are well lubricated and silenced surprisingly well stock out of the box. The stabilizer inserts have flat feet that do not need clipping, either. The case has very little space for accommodating much dampening material, and the included foam is thin with I think minimal impact. Better than nothing though. It would be difficult to place a butyl rubber dampener, only probably the thinnest ones that are available. Doing a silicone pour or adding plastilina clay might work, or just simply add some poly fill. The board does many things just right, and it is clearly evident that KLIM has put together a very successful, thoughtful, and polished offering.

I had a great time modding this keyboard and making a it a thocky beast with some new swithes and some double shot pbt pudding keycaps. I love that this board was very affordable for being a hotswap and I appericiate them for how well thoughtout it is. I very grateful that modding it was very user friendly and the rgb effects are great plus. I decided to take the brown switches out and get some glorious pandas to replace them they sound really good and give a deep and rich sound to the experience of using the board. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a cheap entry point to keyboard modding. Even if you dont feel like modding it, the board has a solid foundation and the option is there for you. I hope that this company is willing to make more boards like this and in a variety of size. Would love a one of these with a numpad.

This is an excellent keyboard with a plethora of connection options. This keyboard was tested under Windows 10/11 and Manjaro Linux and was detected and worked via cable and blue tooth in each. Sound is excellent and keycaps are smooth and pleasantly tactile. The included exchangeable keyboard frame and keycaps are also greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this keyboard.

Absolutely love typing on this keyboard. This is under priced. It’s hot swappable, wired and wireless, has bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4ghz… What more could you want from a mechanical keyboard for only 37$? Amazing keyboard. It’s my first time using a mechanical keyboard. The size is perfect, the arrow keys still exist (unlike on 60%, this is a 65%) and the sound from the brown switches is amazing as well, not too loud and not too soft. My typing speed has increased. RGB and software work as they should, no fusses there You get white keycaps as an extra. Again, for 37$ you almost can’t believe that you get this many things in the package. Will be adding KLIM to one of my brands to watch out for, they make seriously great products.
