> 3 dayAbsolutely amazing speaker Im running this with Denon x4500 with rf820s and the sound is incredible. Dont buy into the new line of klipsch speakers they are exactly the same. If you dont have a subwoofer you can run it as large but I wouldnt advise it set all your speakers to small and let your subs do the low frequencies. Set the crossover to Center and floor speakers to 90hertz and then set all your other speakers to a hundred hertz 120 max this will leave way more wattage for your speakers and you will be in heaven. LFE 120 for subwoofer. Put it in the cart you wont regret it.

> 3 dayI was actually looking at a lower model of Klipsch center when I saw this one priced lower due to being a refurb. I feel so fortunate to have caught this deal. the sound is amazing, the voices coming from the center channel are incredibly clear and easy to understand. I have used regular stereo speakers as a center before and the voices were always boomy. Not the case with this speaker. I would recommend this Klipsch center to anyone who is building a home theater system.

> 3 dayMarriage involves compromise and from a mans perspective, this means making sure your wife is happy. I coveted this speaker and a subwoofer and 280 tower speakers for some time. I had a very nice sound system before I was married, but I had to wait years to upgrade while we focused on other needs. I bought the 280 towers last year after much lobbying, and I write without overstating that our music is so pure sounding through these I was not sure our eclectic tastes in music could sound better. I read one review about the 280 tower speakers before buying them that one doesnt get listening fatigue, and I didnt understand what they meant until I heard my music though these speakers. It wasnt until we added the 450 center speaker that I heard what I had been missing. Lyrics are crystal clear now, the midranges are, well, it was like a baby that was born deaf and had a cochlear implant and heard things for the first time. I cant think of a better way of explaining it, it simply makes me happy. I rarely post reviews, and when a company does something this well it should be rewarded for its work. There are some authors who write in a way in which you dont notice their presence. This is what Klipsch has done with sound!

> 3 dayLet me just say this: This center channel was larger than all my previous speakers of my 5.1 system COMBINED.

Greater than one weekI had this center for a year, then upgraded to custom speakers from a great company dstechlabs.com I first built the center, 4 8 inch woofers, 4 6 inch midranges and 2 tweeters. I thought this 457c was big, but the custom center is 10 inches high 18 deep and 64 wide! Now I finished the towers and sub. If you can swing it, go with custom, but if not this Klipsch is for you!

> 3 dayExcellent packaging/shipping. Ordered this to replace another Klipsch center speaker. I have a dedicated surround sound system, wanted a little more response on center. This has 4 woofers, 2 on each side of tweeter. Sound is good as expected. Be aware, this speaker weighs 32 lbs, so make sure stand can support it.

> 3 dayBe warned this thing is enormous but well worth the space it takes. My living room sounds like a full blown concert since I paired this with a Klipsch subwoofer.
