Klipsch RP-504C Center Channel Speaker (Walnut)

Sound amazing with my mixed set of Powered and Non Powered speakers.

Purchased this center channel as a replacement for a Klipsch RP-440C. Absolutely nothing was wrong with the 440C, just wanted a bigger center presence when I setup my new theater room. I’m definitely happy with the purchase, center dialogue and action is more hefty now, sure it might be a placebo, but I’m swallowing that pill and sticking to my ear’s belief. Sound is the lovely Klipsch standard and mates well with the front, side and surround Klipsch RP-250Fs in my room.

Oh, first, the speaker is large. I bought a reference Klipsch atmos speaker system. Anyway, the center speaker that came with the set was a R-502C. I could never, ever hear dialogue loud enough from this center speaker without cranking up the volume, turning down all other speakers. Matter of fact, with previous systems over the last 25 years, the same problem. Finally, a center speaker where I can hear whispers, action, all dialog while having my other speakers at normal levels. This is my 4th center speaker and finally one that does the job that it was designed to do. Game changer, difference maker, so enjoyable...it sounds good, too. Dont skimp on your center speaker, it makes that much of a difference...

tldr; I replaced my Klipsch R-25C with the Klipsch RP-504C and I love it! I decided that rather than swap out my entire Klipsch Reference system (r-28f L/R w/ r-15m) and that Id give the Klipsch Reference Premier series a try as just a center channel upgrade and I bought the RP-504C. I was worried about how it would mix with my regular old reference 5.1.4 system WRT timbre and what-not, but I honestly think it all sounds really good together! The bigger worry I have now is how in the world I can convince my wife in the future that I need to do more upgrades! Installing and listening to the two speakers made an immediate noticeable difference to me. Visually, the R-25C is dwarfed by the RP-504C

This is the best center speaker I ever owned. I had an Infinity center speaker before. I had a Bose little cube speaker before. But this one is the ultimate!

Much larger than the R-52C its replacing. It definitely sounds more crisp. The style is different between the reference and reference premiere. I kinda like the gold screws look on the reference but the wood finish is much nicer on the premiere. Its much heavier, probably close to 50lbs. Great for movies. You need a good center for home theaters. *Note klipsch speakers do accept bannana connectors. You have to pop off the cap, see picture. Ive seen a couple reviews on other speakers complaining it does not. It would be nice if they would show that in the instructions.

For $1000 speaker i expected something at least as clear as my car audio. i was disappointed. Klipsch is very over rated compared to Hertz, Focal or other car audio systems.
