> 24 hourThis is as good as much costlier cable that I have used. Really does a great job with my KEF LS50 speakers and SVS SB1000 subs. Super easy to route and bend around corners. Seems like true 12awg wire...no skimping here. Sound from top to bottom is full and fast in my two channel system. Get this if you want to save $$ and have great sound.

> 24 hourThis speaker wire is true 12ga speaker wire, there is nothing in between the strands of wire. The wire is very flexible. The speaker wire has a black stripe on one side designating negative or positive. I purchased 75 feet to rewire an A/V receiver and an integrated amp., both Yamaha. The wire was delivered in plastic bags instead of on a spool. No problem for me, probably saves money on pricing. Soldering terminal spades to end of wire did not harm the sheathing, I was amazed that the sheathing did not burn or shrink as most wires do. Yes this is a very high quality speaker wire, I would give it a 100 stars if I could, and it’s extremely reasonably priced. Definitely purchase.

> 24 hourIt’s hard to get excited about speaker wire, but this stuff is really nice. Nice thick insulation, 12ga OFC as advertised, easy to split, strip and work with. Excellent solderability and the insulation takes the heat without excessive softening or shrink back. Very flexible and lays flat like soft rope. I can’t ask for anything more in bulk speaker wire. I’d definitely buy it again.

Plain and Simple Specifications
- Wire type - CCA or OFC
These materials are commonly used, but not commonly stated when shopping online. Know what you are purchasing. Both metals are capable of performing up to their rated loads.
- American Wire Gauge
Wire gauge is crucial to powering your system correctly. Undersized cable will create unsafe conditions and may shorten your amplifier"s life.
True American Wire Gauge (AWG) Products
- Using American Wire Gauge standards, the gauge of stranded wire is determined by the total area of the conductor.
- To calculate this you would take the area of each strand and add it together. This area, in square mm, then determines gauge.
- Speaker Wire is often written as 12-2 or 12/2. This means 12 gauge x 2 conductor, both positive and negative signal are carried within one cable and are each 12 gauge.
- Diameter is not as critical with stranded wire, this is due to the tiny air gaps between each strand. Diameter may fluctuate with strand size and how tightly wound the rope of the cable is.
- The smaller the number, the larger the wire, until you reach zero or aught (0). Most speaker wire ranges from 10 to 16 gauge. 18 to 22 gauge is often much too thin for most Home Theater applications.
- Based on AWG, the true gauge of this cable is 12 Gauge
Oxygen Free Copper - The standard in audio
