Im blown away that it actually increased the volume of my speakers (didnt touch amp gain) compared to the previous wire I had installed before (which sounds stupidly ridiculous but after having done a comparison with both sides of the car (one side new wire and one not), is actually true). Granted I went from previously radioshack wire 16 awg claimed ofc to this, I still wouldnt have expected such a difference in efficiency. However, while I wouldnt suspect this to be the case for everyone, if you want to at least ensure you have the best and most efficient output signal transfer from your amp to your speakers, this stuff is the way to go. These wires feel fantastic, are very flexible, and dont have that terrible rubbery smell (that also tends to get stuck on your hands after handling) that other cheaper wires of similar feel tend to have. The 12 AWG is true as advertised for the wire and the copper strands inside are beautiful. If I ever need more wire, KnuKonceptz is where Im getting it from. =)

Plain and Simple Specifications
- Wire type - CCA or OFC
These materials are commonly used, but not commonly stated when shopping online. Know what you are purchasing. Both metals are capable of performing up to their rated loads.
- American Wire Gauge
Wire gauge is crucial to powering your system correctly. Undersized cable will create unsafe conditions and may shorten your amplifier"s life.
True American Wire Gauge (AWG) Products
- Using American Wire Gauge standards, the gauge of stranded wire is determined by the total area of the conductor.
- To calculate this you would take the area of each strand and add it together. This area, in square mm, then determines gauge.
- Speaker Wire is often written as 12-2 or 12/2. This means 12 gauge x 2 conductor, both positive and negative signal are carried within one cable and are each 12 gauge.
- Diameter is not as critical with stranded wire, this is due to the tiny air gaps between each strand. Diameter may fluctuate with strand size and how tightly wound the rope of the cable is.
- The smaller the number, the larger the wire, until you reach zero or aught (0). Most speaker wire ranges from 10 to 16 gauge. 18 to 22 gauge is often much too thin for most Home Theater applications.
- Based on AWG, the true gauge of this cable is 12 Gauge
