KOHLER 8799-PB Duostrainer Sink drain and strainer basket, less tailpiece, 1.5, Vibrant Polished Brass

I bought this strainer for my new Kohler enameled cast-iron sink. It is heavy and clearly durable. I am sure that it will never need to be replaced. It is well-designed, adding to the beauty of the sink and functioning perfectly. The extra money that this strainer cost was well-spent.

Didn’t work

This is the second application I have used this part for. Not worth buying cheaper ones that look like crap over time.

to plug a big hole in the bottom of my sink

Worked great! Took longer to remove the old corrodes strainer insert than to install the new one. Installation was quick and easy. Brushed nickel finish looks great.

This thing is precision and heavy. The screws are very fine, the brass is nice and heavy, the gasket is thick. This item is a little pricey, but should last forever. Its a pleasure to work with high quality hardware.
