> 24 hourI used these flash drives on a regular basis for a period of time without issue. One of them recently failed and I sent it out for data recovery only to find out that the data is all encrypted. The drive has a high level encryption chip built in. I never encrypted anything. The experts told me that this is extremely rare and can’t explain when a cheaper flash drive would even include any sort of encryption but it would cost me thousands of dollars to get my data off the drive. I have lost months worth of work. DO NOT BUY these!!!!

> 24 hourI need USBs for work and these are great. I was/am thrown a little bit because when I plug it into my laptop there is already a file on there and when I open that file there are two more files in there? I try to delete them, but it looks like theyre still there.. Then adding the file I want to be on there, and plugging it into another computer the first file it came with is no longer there? Definitely confused and uneasy that it is really deleted for good, especially having to give these to my client, but I will just test each one on another computer before I give it. Thats the only reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise I am pleased so far.

> 24 hourI did not have the problems others have reported with some of the sticks not working. As for the size: space for the file allocation table, binary conversion, and format overhead (among other things) cause this to happen. An in-depth explanation would require knowledge of advanced mathematics and binary, so, just take it for what it is.

> 24 hourThese are cool design and hold a ton of data. But...they are not entirely as described in that they DO NOT fit on a keyring. The loop at the end of it was made too small for a keyring and the tang will break if you force it. Other than that, they a really nice.

> 24 hourI have a need to store a few ISO images for server build. This is a good value for a fast flash drive to install OS on servers for my home network. I have used 8 of them so far and they all work well installing OS to servers and computers. Not to worry about the reliability as this is just a portable way to install OS.

> 24 hourWe always used C/Ds and DVDs to store and transmit data. Now the files are so large that flash drives are the way to go....

> 24 hourPurchased this 10 pack as a pen testing solution. They are working so far, but writing to the product and conversion to bootable image drives was incredibly slow. Total write time for an image file (ISO) of 16GB was 32 minutes. Not great if you are in a hurry! Port used was USB 3.0, and this device is USB 2.0. This item was not up to the speed of the USB 2.0 spec, claiming up to 480MB/s. In my writing speed test, I wrote a 16gb ISO file. This took an incredibly long time, at an average write speed of 9.7MB/s. The speed decreased marginally, but steadily, as the write process continued. I might recommend for multiple smaller file solutions. Perhaps office documents to home, or schoolwork to home. In contrast, my tests say this product is not up to larger file work like ISO images.
