these were for my 52 yr old downs daughter. she wears a ponytail all the time. these are high quality bands with the only problem being the stretch. two stretchs is not enough and three is too tight. she cannot stand it to be too tight. i would say they are worth a try.

Very pleased with these hair ties. I have thick, waist length hair and I always have a hard time finding ties that actually hold my hair, especially during my daily horse riding/training. I also find a lot of them give me a headache, granted, I know my hair is heavy, but still. These all around, so far, are the best Ive found. Theyre thick, soft and I really like the color options. I would never have spent this kind of money for glorified rubber bands, but you get what you pay for in some things and these are worth it. Ah, they also eliminate breakage which is a BIG deal to me. UPDATE: I still really like these ties. However, they arent quite as sticky as I wish. By that, I mean, my hair still falls down some with heavy activity. Im not sure that there even is a ponytail holder out there that actually keeps thick heavy hair up when youre very active. Also, I like to put my hair up in a messy bun and occasionally these will knot up in my hair when I try to take them out. I do like them, overall, above all others but there are still a couple areas lacking in functionality.

These Grab and Go Ponytails by L. Erickson are much, much more expensive than most hair ties. That said, most hair ties last a few weeks and then are garbage. These last for months, so Im thinking per use they may actually be less expensive than the cheaper hair ties. I also like that these are elegant and look good in hair. As an adult, I like the neutral colors and feel more elegant using them to go to the gym. I have also now purchased fun colors for my 6-year-old daughter, and she loves them too. I wont go back to any other hair ties!

Great hair ties that dont tangle hair and pull it out. The small bead that connects the ends together is very smooth and does not hurt your head when tied up in a ponytail. These are very stretchy and would work great for people with very thick hair. But they also work nice for those with thin hair. Very pleased with this product!

These are my favorite hair ties! Minimal crease, max hold. I didnt realize the Jet Set had metallic threads in most of them, not my favorite... but they still work great!

I did not want to believe the hype, but a creature of curiosity I figured that even at the premium price it wouldnt hurt to try one pack. It hurt. It hurt my wallet when I bought 3 more sets. You see, my daughter and I have really thick hair, and we go through lots of hairbands. We always have one on us, because even on down hair days, it goes up at some point. These are so gentle. They dont hurt or pull when we take them out. They are wrist wearable friendly. And the thicker band really stays in place. No slipping, no tugging? Worth. It.
