Not as pictured or stated. What I was sent was a generic 6 hook and loop pad but not like what is pictured and it is not by Lake Country. Stiffer on edge than Lake Country. Ive received a refund but TCP Global and amazon needs to do the right thing and put correct picture up and quit stating its by Lake Country. I had to delay project for reorder from another non amazon vendor to get what I thought I as ordering from amazon. Lame!

Picture is wrong. Comes not as advertised. Youll need to buy a optional 5/8 X 11 adapter. Think twice before order.

Exactly what I need to replace my worn out one. This one is built even better and works like a charm. My old one stripped the threads and I was concerned that a new one might require re-tapping them. Not a problem. Fit snug and true and should last another several years.

Theres not too much to say about a product like this, in short, it does exactly as intended. It attaches to the buffer securely and holds a pad on securely, it does both of these things with out wobble. What stands out to me is the durability and strength of this product. I use this on a Porter Cable DA, and I used it for probably 200 cars in paint corrections over 5 years time, and this thing is great and confidence inspiring. It is flexible enough to work, but never cracks or splits and the stud is very securely mounted in it. After I had a different brand backing plate explode and cause damage to a vehicle after only 6 months of use, i realized how impressive this particular one is. Out of fear of random failures, I now replaced my original with a new one of these, but its important to note the other had no issues, I just prefer the peace of mind. Id recommend with any backing plate you replace it every few years just to be safe. But I will keep on using these, and this brand has been easy to work with and great for me!

This purchase is a replacement for my 6-year old 5 Lake Country backing plate that finally gave up the ghost last year after correcting paint on many cars and trucks. I feel that I am less likely to do damage to my vehicles paints with the soft urethane surroundings of this backing plate. It alsomakes it easier to work around dips and curves of the vehicle. I use a smaller 3 LC plate for tight spots and headlight polishing. Finally, I use a variety of pads including the LC CCS and the velcro on the backing plate holds them all firmly.

The Lake Country products are some of the better quality product available at a reasonable price. Once the pad is in place it stays in place and requires quite an effort to remove (as it should) It is sized correctly so the the edges cannot come into contact with and scuff or scrape the paint. This was advertised for a Porter cable sander model number 7336 which came with a vinyl stick on face. The one sold is for velcro face. The seller said that Amazon improperly advertised it. Now I will probably have to pay shipping to return it.
