Had to get a replacement on the first order bc the space bar didnt work. Then this one, after one day of use, is super loud and clacky (unlike the description says quiet).

As someone who writes a lot, I used keyboard shortcuts all the time for select all, copy an paste, and I was all set to write a review bemoaning that this keyboard did not allow for keyboard shortcuts. Then I examined my old keyboard (a simple HP got at a garage sale for $5 which lasted for years until my son spilled water on it and the keys started to stick) and a photo of a Mac keyboard and realized this keyboard only has a command key on the left hand side (WIN with a little lock symbol) whereas there is a command key on both sides of a mac and the old HP keyboard I was using with my mac. I always used the command key on the right hand side and could not figure out why keyboard shortcuts were not working on this keyboard! I felt pretty silly once I figured it out, but also thankful I wouldnt have to return this keyboard as I use shortcuts all the time. I only just got this keyboard last night, so I will update my review if things change, but these are my thoughts so far: Cons: 1. That there is only a command key on one side of the keyboard XD 2. There is no dedicated volume control button. I didnt realize how much I used that feature on my old keyboard until I went to turn down a very loud video and saw there was no volume control button. To change the volume you have to press the FN+(F2, F3, or F4 to lower, raise or mute the volume respectively.) I will have to see how much of a pain it is to get adapted to this. 3. Not all the multimedia keys work on mac. So the FN+F5 is stop and that does not work on iTunes or DVD player. Nor does FN+ (F1, F9, F10, F11, F12) which are (Multimedia, mail, web page/home page, my computer, and calculator respectively.) I think these commands are not compatible with Mac. But I probably wouldnt use these keys anyway, except the calculator key, so it doesnt bother me. 3. Not any quieter than my old standard keyboard. As this was one of the first ones to come up for quiet mac keyboards I expected it to be at least 50% quieter, but it is not at all. I wanted a quiet keyboard since I live on a converted school bus and often write while everyone is asleep. But my boyfriend says he cant hear me when Im typing at night, which means this keyboard will work okay for me, but maybe not for everybody. Like others have said, you can hear the spring in the spacebar key, but so far this doesnt bother me. 4. When I lifted up the keyboard to clean some dust behind it, I lost everything I had written--twice. So there must be some key that I accidentally slightly pressed that ended up resetting the page somehow? I lifted it up gently a few times making sure not to touch any keys, and this did not happen. So be careful when moving the keyboard. 5. Led lights only display rainbow, which I didnt realize when I bought it, so you cannot choose only one color or a rotation of colors like on other illuminated keyboards. But the rainbow is really pretty, so this isnt a big issue for me. The lights can also be dimmed or shut off if you prefer. There is also a breathing mode where the lights mimic a breathing ebb and flow...I found that distracting, but its a cool option if youre into that. Pros: 1. Its gorgeous! I love the metal and black which matches my iMac perfectly and the rainbow lights are so much fun! Probably the coolest keyboard I could ask for apart from one that looks like a typewriter, haha, but that one is on my future anachronistic goals list. ;) 2. They keys are really nice to use, have a good responsiveness (from a writers perspective on a brand-new keyboard--will update if this changes.) It has a good mechanical feel.

It works well, feels good with key presses and the backlight doesnt hurt. Biggest complaints: 1) A very noisy space bar. Not like the rest of the keys where it sounds fine, There is a noticeable and distracting metal-on-metal sound when hitting the space bar anywhere else than directly in the middle. That is ok i guess but im not very fond of the little screech when i type or jump in games. 2) The font on some of the keys is hard to read correctly. In particular the hard to read keys are: @,B,&,0,O,Q,and 8. I find them harder to read because of the odd placements of black lines in the middle of the keys, the @ symbol looks more like a sideways 3 with a ( to the side of it. This seems to be a product of how the keys were molded together but i do not care for it visually.

To start off, I really like this keyboard. It types great, the company chose a unique letter font to go on the keys, theres a number keypad, multimedia keys, the keys are raised and this is an all around great keyboard. The reason I gave it a 4/5 though is because the shift key on the left gets stuck when you press on it sometimes. Sometimes it works perfectly fine but most of the time, it sticks which is why I give it a 4/5 but if you can get past that like me, this is a great keyboard for you. I got it for school work, not gaming just to be clear. Overall, Im definitely keeping this keyboard and would recommend it.

Ill start this review off with the cons as usually people want to know if there is anything bad behind the picture they see. Cons: The keys are too wide and flat. Although I understand the aesthetic they were going for with this keyboard; the shapes of the keys were too bothering. Because of their flat top shape Id often find my fingers sliding off one key and hitting another near it. I promise you it will happen to you as well unless you take your time typing extremely slowly picking each key. Pros: The keyboard is sleek. Visually it looks nice and if youre trying to get an RGB white themed setup this will fill it perfectly. Its cheap so if you just want a keyboard that looks nice and works - then this is it. The wire for the cable is sturdy and is made of a thick fabric preventing it from tearing and such. For a final opinion - Would I buy this again or recommend it someone? No. I Actually returned mine because the keys bothered me too much and at the end of the day before aesthetics and such- the keyboard should work for me and it simply wasnt. That being said, I dont think this keyboard is absolute garbage and if you can get over the flat keys and want a white RGB keyboard then by all means get it.

I needed a back-lit keyboard for my home office, so Im not using mine as a gaming keyboard (gaming ratings not applied). The keyboard itself is very nice and sleek. The white and silver look great and the colors are good too. Good that you can adjust the light brightness. I love the feel of the keys clacking, very responsive when typing. But some buttons Im not familiar with so I couldnt figure out what theyre for. I wish the lights would turn off automatically when the keyboard is not being used.

I know its frustrating to not see a pic but Im too lazy, but on the upside, Im typing on it right now to talk to you. The buttons require a little bit more force to push down compared to what Im used to, but theyre lovingly quiet. The space bar and shift key rattle a bit but I promise you its nowhere near as bad as youd think, it still functions well. If its like, deafening, then you probably have a defect. If youre ok with the tiny little rattle, then youll love this keyboard. I needed it to type on, because my other keyboard was too easy to press down on(Its for gaming). You should get a pad or something to rest your wrists on though, as it is a flat keyboard and you will get carpal real bad. And just in case you didnt know it is plug in and play. No software required. I usually prefer software but for typing... eh. No, Id rather just use it, yeah? For gameplay its ok. Id suggest something with a bit less resistance to being pushed, though. Corsair has some good options, but I know its expensive so try Havit. I love Havit. What they lack in review count, they make up for in being amazing. In regards to cleaning it, I dont know if its safe to just yank out the keycaps like most keyboards but eh. You can use a compressed air can and hose it out real quick, especially because the keys are weirdly elevated so theres lots of room.

It’s not quiet. It’s actually very clicky/loud! For the price it’s okay overall… when using it does feel sorta cheap and it having a silver board it looks like it. And the lights coming through the keys aren’t the best and hard to see. I wouldn’t recommend

First off, I love this keyboard so I gave it a five stars. Thank you to the manufacturers. Notes: - Compact: I replaced my old keyboard with this one and its given me a lot more desk space. - Ambient Light: Helps me find where the keys are even when its dark. - Metal Frame Case: makes it feel sturdier but Ive also havent picked my keyboard up and thrown it on the floor to test how sturdy it is so this is up for debate. - Keycaps: Responsive enough, but the only thing that may be annoying to some is the space bar, the spacebar has two springs which with enough use makes the button squeak. That being said, I think thats also the only key that has a bit more resistance towards being pressed. I do however like the sound it makes when its typing as its relatively quiet. - Comes with a cleaning brush: I love brushing dust away with the small brush it comes with every once in awhile.
