I have been using Lava for many,many years. It does a good job of cleaning my hands when working in the yard or on greasy tools. No one in my area carries it anymore. The price per bar was good and a 12-pack will last me for a very long time.

Discovered this soap when I was a young person on the farm, Best soap for keeping your hands clean. Besides clean there are moisturizing agents in this soap so your hands do not dry out as with other products.

Ive used Lava soap for everything, including in the shower since the early 1980s, when I worked in the oilfield. Its the real deal. It cleans like nothing else and exfoliates your skin, to leave it fresh and new-looking. Its becoming harder and harder to find at retail stores, but thankfully Amazon has plenty of it. Great if you like to work on cars, do yard work or just want soap that doesnt feel slimy and perfumed. I highly recommend this product!

Man i just love this soap! Im a farmer and my husband comes in with all sorts of gunk on his hands from working on tractors and this soap just gets everything off. I use it with a sponge to get stickly plant residue off like when i prune tomatoes and nothing else gets my hands clean. Love the pumice action. Not jazzed about the smell and the soap does melt away if placed in a waterlogged soap dish but hey- its soap. I buy a 12 pack at the start of the farming season. A must!
