As others have said, its pretty inconsistent with the heating element, one side does get hotter. For $45 I cant really complain, it helped me with my iPhone screen repair.

Some people posted videos showing that this machine understates the temperature of the plate. I disagree, I’d question the tools those folks were using. I am using a very precise thermometer with validated thermocouple and I am getting quite precise readings. The T fluctuates a bit, but it never exceeded the setting I made on the machine. See photos.
