This playset contains lots of blocks and shapes, and the cute truck that you can build on. The blocks seem sturdy plastic, and like they will hold up to lots of play. Comes with instructions and ideas of things to create. I agree with the other reviewer who said that the electronics (the interactive smart star cube) is not needed to make this toy enjoyable. It is currently priced at $24.99, which seems typical.

I ordered this Leap Frog LeapBuilders Fixit Truck for my grandsons third birthday. He is able to build Duplo blocks pretty well, so I thought Id try this interactive set. Great fun and fun to learn!! The blocks are notched so little hands can put them together easily. The blocks are either numbered or lettered (such as hat) which helps the little one to recognize words. Many of the blocks speak when they are pushed. When put together, a truck is built and what little guy doesnt love trucks?!! The only problem so far, is that my granddaughter (aged 6) wants a turn with this Fixit Truck, too!! I guess that teaches sharing, as well. I cant comment on the durability of this toy, but Ive given my grandson Leap Frog toys in the past, and theyve held up quite well!! All in all - a great gift!

I ordered this Leap Frog, Leap Builders 123 Fix-It truck for my 2 year old Grandson. Ive bought several Leap Frog products, all have been great toys. This is no exception. There are over 100 phrases and songs. The blocks are interchangeable into the Smart Star cube and the perfect size for his small hands. There are 15 blocks and each one when inserted into the cube plays interactive songs or phrases that make learning fun. Additionally, you can buy more building sets separately. Although you really dont need to, this set will keep your toddler busy for hours. It certainly has with my grandson. There are also Lego type blocks to use to actually build your truck. This also provides another avenue for his imagination. We love this toy. For its price, its extremely well made. Kids are rough on toys but, this seems to be standing up to the usage. This is a definite must for your Christmas list if you have a toddler.

This seemed to be a fun learning toy. I gave it to my grandson for his birthday in September. Today I noticed that they hadnt taken the last strap off. In doing so, I learned that the round blocks when inserted in the front will tell what the picture is that is on that block. Unfortunately, most of the blocks do not match what the toy is saying. The toy says number three when the number five is showing; when you see the boots, it says bucket. Its too late to return. Good thing he is only two and likes to put the blocks together, or else this would be useless.

This kit is designed for children 18 months+, but despite that fact, I have it in my Kindergarten classroom full of English Learners. The kit comes already functioning with batteries, which is always a HUGE win, and has tons of color, number and shape words for children to learn! The students were disappointed when they thought it was a ‘baby’ toy, but as soon as I opened the package and put the pieces in with the other Legos, they were an IMMEDIATE hit! Most of my students come from other countries and this is their first exposure to English, so they had SO MUCH FUN putting the pieces into the talking base and learning what the name of the numbers and colors are on the smaller pieces! My one comment would be that the volume does not turn up very high, which sometimes makes it challenging to hear it.

I like the blocks. The scanner that tells you whats on the block is pretty cool. I dont understand why the number blocks are two sided with different numbers on both sides!! If youre using these to learn numbers, you should have the numbers on one side and something to reinforce the number on the other. (One side should have 10 and the other should have 10 nails. There are 15 double-sided blocks so it would have been so easy to have 1 to 10 on ten blocks instead of five double-sided blocks. It makes it so much harder to use as a toy to help teach numbers. If you ask your child to find the 8, its a lot harder if your kid has to turn blocks around to find the eight. You cant put 1-10 in order. Its just awkward and weird since you have 15 interactive blocks! I want to use this for building, but I want to use it for learning too. It gets so close, but its marred by a glaring defect. Im still giving it three stars because they are nice blocks. I just dont really suggest it, so maybe I should be giving it two stars.

My 2 year old grandson loves this! It’s like a combo of blocks, learning toy, and first transformer. Although confusing at first, he loves that there’s different ways to put this together. And of course every toy now has the obligatory sounds and music. Not that it’s bad; I think kids are getting a head start identifying colors, etc. The pieces are big enough so they’re easier to hold. Adult guidance at first, then let their imagination run wild.
