> 3 dayThese are great beginners building toys, they’re the perfect size for small hands to grasp and attach to each other, and they make an adorable firetruck. They fit seamlessly with other sets as wel. Blocks are great quality. Promotes creativity and encourages hand eye coordination and motor skills. Recommended

Greater than one weekMemory lane: me and a set of wooden blocks, the best available in 1950. You could make a very tall building out of them, Jenga style, although Jenga hadnt been invented yet. THIS set of blocks is multi-colored and notched, so the pieces all clamp together easily enough for a very young child to manage. Among this set of blocks are some that speak, numbered blocks and blocks with pictures of tools on them. THIS set of blocks fits together to become a truck that goes Wa-HOO! This is like the Duplo vehicle set on steroids. The truck talks to you, although that function can be turned off or turned down, and the pieces can be assembled any which way. It lends itself to creative play in the assembly and imaginative play in the results. Interestingly, I tried it out on five and ten-year-olds. The ten-year-old was zealous in his insistence in assembling the pieces quickly and exactly as shown on the box, and although he insisted that the toy was only good for younger children, I noticed he didnt allow his five-year-old brother any assembly time. The five-year-old wanted to keep it. I got it for a three-year-olds birthday, but I think it could be enjoyed by anyone in the two to five-year-old bracket. This set just barely fits back into its box after play. Using my Montessori training, I put it in a dollar store plastic bin, making it easy to put away but still very accessible.

Greater than one weekThis is a great set for older toddlers. The age says 18+months, but my 18 month old didnt really get it. That being said, its a super cute, well made toy. The pieces all stack together and are notched, so they fit. It moves in some very cool ways (that was the part my kiddo didnt really get) Its fun to stack up and my little one enjoyed knocking it down and the pieces were plenty durable enough to withstand that. As she gets older and starts to understand what the little truck can do, shes gonna like better, but for now, its still fun to build with.
