We have two boxes of these puzzles and ordered a third for a gift. My daughter loves them! She is almost 3 1/2 and while the easier of the two are too easy now, she still enjoys doing them independently. For a while she needed help sorting them into the correct puzzle, but now she can look at the backside and see which pieces go together. The pieces are durable cardboard, and the pictures are engaging. They are a nice step up from the shape puzzles she had when she was younger. I would definitely recommend.

This is exactly what I was looking for to transition my 21 month old from block puzzles to jigsaw type puzzles. I gave him the 2 piece puzzle for a few days and gradually moved up. He is now doing the 6 piece with a little help. Once he masters even the 8 piece I could see mixing multiple puzzles to allow him to continue to learn and be entertained. The pieces are very sturdy, large enough for easy handling but still small enough to travel with.

This was a great set for teaching my 1 year old how to do a jigsaw puzzle. She was able to do the 8 piece puzzle on her own by 18 months old. My one complaint is that the pieces are kind of thin and really warp over time, which makes them difficult to get back together.

TERRIFIC!!! Has 4 different puzzles - 2 pc, 4 pc, 6pc, and 8 pc. The pieces have the numbers 2,4,6,8 on the back which also helps with number recognition. I started my granddaughter with the 2pc,then both 2pc and 4pc, etc. When she has all of the pieces out and is working on them, I encourage her to look at the numbers on the back and naming them to find matching numbers - then put the puzzle together.

These are awesome bright colors. These are a little too complex and frustrating for a two year old. So I suggest starting out with the two piece puzzle first and then work your way up to get him used to it. Do not give puzzles all at once otherwise will be huge frustration and fits because will try to put wrong puzzles together LOL my son is better now after having this for a month at putting the two piece puzzle together but the four piece puzzle is still a bit frustrating but hes trying to figure it out.

I wanted something sturdy. These are sturdy. Cardboard, but sturdy. The pieces fit together nicely. Each puzzle is labeled on the back with the number of pieces (in a repeating pattern) so you dont get confused about which pieces go with which puzzle.

My daughter had never really done puzzles before, but she is apparently incredible at puzzle building and found these too easy. She is 3. She put them all together in no time and could even differentiate the pieces when they were all mixed up. I thought it would be a great learning set. The pieces are thicker and solid feeling. They are not flimsy cardboard. The pieces are big and colorful. The price was great. These would be great for a 2 year old.

Nest step puzzles above the wood/peg type for preschoolers. One puzzle has 2 pieces to get the child started and give them confidence. Next puzzle has 3 pieces, next has 4 pieces building the difficulty. Great learning puzzles.
