A challenging set for a master builder. I did not read far enough in the description to see it was listed for 16+, and yes, they really mean it. With so many small pieces , constructing these dinosaurs requires fine motor skills, patience and perseverance. It is not for the faint of heart. That being said, this is a terrific challenge for the right individual.

My son loves this. Its a more advanced set so it did take him longer than normal to build it. He was able to follow the instructions and assemble it without help. I should mention that he is 13 years old and has been doing LEGO sets since he was 4. Once together the sets are more for s]display than to play with. He enjoyed building them and he enjoys having them in his room. They do look cool.

Good product but my grandson objected to no moving limbs.

This is a great set, but its definitely geared more towards an adult. The set was actually the idea of a lego user (they submitted it through Lego Ideas). The dinosaur fossils are pretty easy to build, but you need to be dexterous in a few places and its 910 pieces, some of them are small. I lost track of the time it took me to build them, which is I guess a good sign. A couple of hours, Id say. The t-rex is about 7 inches tall, so hes pretty mighty. Once built, they make fun display pieces. They are surprisingly poseable. I love the Lego sapien joke. There are lots of fun details, especially on the triceratops. These arent museum accurate (or maybe they are to Lego sapiens. I dont know what a T.rex in Legoland looked like). If I had one complaint its that the Pteranodon is pretty boring compared to the other two. Hes smaller and hsi details are not as interesting, but hes still pretty cool.

My 7 year old built this with practically no supervision, no help, and loved every minute of it. Over the span of 6 hours with small breaks my son was able to complete this entire kit without issue. Its super cute, but I suggest buying a Lego baseplate. Amazon has a grey 10 by 15 one for a reasonable price that made this set of four boned structures, a mini figure, and a tool chest into a museum. Super cute.

It was his 18th birthday and he loved complex Legos and dinosaurs. A win-win. He spent a few days putting them together and now they will be on display. Very pleased with this purchase.

This lego set just may be my favorite one yet, at least of the smaller sets. You get all the expected quality of the pieces and this one was a challenge to assemble. And...the dinosaurs look so cool! Recommended for the dino lover in the family, especially for young teens.

My son is into dinosaurs so this is fascinating to him. The models are quite unique and the Lego quality you would expect. Would buy again.
