> 3 dayGreat kit! The colors are spot on and it captures plenty of the features of the individual lions. Its much bigger than I thought it would be. Only improvement I would have liked would be including the back/side and mouth weapons for the individual lions, but not including them isnt even worth reducing the rating by a fraction of a star.

> 3 dayLegos were my favorite part of my childhood. Ive been wanting to buy a set for years to relive the magic but Ive been afraid that the cost might not live up to my memories. I was very wrong. This set took me quite a while to put together and it was every bit as fun as I remember. Definitely worth the money to me.

> 3 dayThis is the perfect set for our son who LOVES Legos and Transformers. He is really too young to do this set on his own (hes only 6), but with adult help and several days of assembly, we were able to finish this set. My son is pretty mechanically inclined, so hes able to take everything apart into the 5 individual lions and also reassemble it back into Voltron. He really enjoyed putting this together and he loves playing with it with his other transformer toys.

> 3 dayI was extremely excited when this came out and wasn’t disappointed by the end of the build. I would highly recommend buying this if you even slightly enjoy building legos. As for myself I don’t normally go out and buy such expensive legos sets but this one was and exception for me. I almost want to buy another just to have it as a collectible for the future.

Greater than one weekMy 12-year-old had never completed such a huge Lego set, but this was a fantastic first huge set to give him. Its a really big box, definitely Big Christmas Present material, and theres a huge ooh-ahh factor of the idea of building a giant robot. The kit really breaks it down into meaningful, manageable chunks of work, so you build the lions separately, and my son did one lion per day when he was working on it. The huge joy came when he got to put them all together to make Voltron, which is a pretty impressive robot. Hes too young to know who Voltron is, but it really doesnt matter; theres not a lot of explanation needed for a giant transforming robot. If I have any criticism of the set, its that it doesnt have a lot of the cool little features you see in some of the other expensive Lego sets, like in the castles or similar sets, e.g. drawbridges, trap doors, hinged secret compartments and passageways, etc. Its just 5 lions, 4 of which are very similar to one another, and then you put them together. Theres also not a lot to do with the robot once you get it assembled, unlike a lot of the kits that have mini figures and action scenes. But if your main goal (like my sons) is to simply have the joy of following the directions and putting together a huge construction, you honestly cant go wrong with this one.

> 3 dayShort version: it’s awesome. I don’t have anything negative to say. It’s fun to build and the details are great. Good job LEGO.

> 3 dayWeve done three of the lions already and are almost done with the fourth. Its quite a lot of pieces, but they separate out the books and bags nicely into each individual lions, so Ive been building it in 30-minute chunks with my 5- and 8-year old. Theyre too young to know about Voltron, but I had such fond memories of the cartoon growing up that I bought the set for myself!

Greater than one weekWow, this takes me back to childhood! This set is like 5 sets in one, as you build each to combine into Voltron - the giant robot. This set is a huge, 2,321 pieces, that took quite a while. Though, its easier to assemble than others of this size, because youre assembling smaller figures to fit together. Even kids who arent as familiar with Voltron will like that you can play with the lions individually or as the larger Voltron. They fit together nicely, and dont fall apart when you want to disassemble Voltron. A 10 year old or younger may need help assembling this, just because its so large and time consuming. But its a lot of fun to build together.

> 3 dayLegos Ideas line has done it again. Voltron is great both as the robot, and as its component five lions. The instructions build the lions individually first. After all five lions are finished, the instructions take the builder step by step through the construction of the robot, complete with sword and shield. If youre a GenXer like me who grew up watching Voltron, you wont be disappointed., but you will probably have the cartoon running in your head the whole time youre putting Voltron together! Its expensive, but its worth it.

> 3 dayThis Lego kit was epic. I highly encourage slow building this kit as each lion is a unique build with its own instructions that takes about 45 to 90 minutes for the average 10 year old. We built one lion a day and looked forward to the final build of Voltron on day 5. If you grew up watching the 80s show you will not be disappointed.
