> 3 dayThis set is amazing. Unlike other LEGO sets, with larger pieces for larger sets, this has very few larger pieces. You build these lions with the smallest pieces and the set completed is huge. I have this on display at work and get tons of compliments and questions!

> 3 dayVoltron is so iconic, and Im so happy that Lego has produced this incredibly faithful rendering of our DEFENDER OF THE UNIVERSE. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: -A fun build. The bags are spaced nicely so you dont feel overwhelmed by each lion. Because you build lions one by one, you get a sense of accomplishment on a regular basis. The final assembly is where the big payoff is, but its honestly a blast to put together. -It looks stunning. Honestly, when you have this bad mamma jamma in real life sitting on your shelf or display case, he is big, colorful, and stunning. When people walk in my office, its the first Lego set they notice. (thats right, I have Legos in my office, what of it?) -Great value. At about 180 bucks this prices lower than some 200 dollar sets that, in my opinion, arent quite as impressive. Cons: No mini figs. Thats the only con I can think of. I get that it would be really hard to build pods for them to fit in, but honestly Id have been happy with paying 200 bucks and getting a collectors plaque with five mini figs I could stick in front. At the end of the day, Voltron is enough though, and this one issue isnt enough to take a star away in my review. Overall verdict: If you love Legos and love Voltron (or mechs of any kind,) what more is there to say? This is an amazing buy.

20-11-2024Ive wanted a Voltron figure ever since I first saw the cartoon, back when I was eleven or twelve years old. The coolness of this figure completely outweighs the drawback of having to build it yourself out of thousands of parts. And it is sooooooo cool. The actual build wasnt bad...LEGO breaks down big sets like this into easy-to-deal-with little chunks, with individual bags and instruction booklets. I decided to build one bag a night, but I ended up getting so into it that the whole figure only took me three nights. You can keep the set broken up into the individual lions, but.....Come on. This is VOLTRON. Click those lions together, add in the sword and shield, and......I feel like a kid again. Amazing set. This is one LEGO set that I am not passing on to my son to play with.

> 3 dayMan! This was such an awesome build! I saw this in the Lego Store a couple months ago and thought, I would really love to have that. Birthday came along and Happy Birthday! I sat down with my two kids and we build the 5 lions in less than 2 hours. I then adjusted all the pieces and put together Voltron! I felt like a kid again for a moment! I remember watching Voltron as a kid and getting to share the new Voltron series with my kids and them helping me build this set was a great memory!

22-11-2024The box was open when I received it. It appears that all the bags are present, but a few wound up in the shipping box, which was also very loosely taped. For how expensive this set is, I expected at least the product would arrive unopened. Very disappointing.
