> 3 dayAmazing detail, fun to build. I purchased this as a present for myself and my kids (ages 6 and 9). Though not really designed for playing with, this set does allow for some fun for the kids. It took about 2 weeks to build, working about 1-2 hours 5-6 out of 7 days of the week. It was fun to build with the kids, though some of the steps are much more difficult for the younger kids to follow (there are almost 1400 steps). It was amazing to see it come together and my kids eyes as it started to truly look like the Falcon. I enjoyed it and will continue to. Just be aware that it does have a hefty price tag. You will have to decide if it is worth the much money for you. It was for us!

> 3 dayI finally finished building this beauty!! It took me over a month, but I was in no rush and had to divide my time between work and family time. You definitely have to have a place for it to sit WHILE you build, let alone display. Be aware, although the frame is pretty solid, when you start to add all the outer layers this set still has quite a bit of give when handling and moving. A lot of the top pieces sit using gravity to hold them in place. There are little spaces and gaps here and there, but if you’ve built other UCS sets before, this should be no surprise.Considering the amount of pieces and the total weight, I find this acceptable. I only mention this because it will definitely take away the “swoosh ability “ factor. Darn. Of course, at the end of the day, or late night, she is absolutely a stunning piece of work to behold. The detail is amazing! You really need to see it for yourself.

> 3 dayI’m a advanced Lego builder. I’ve built the new Eiffel Tower, titanic, castles etc. But this is one of the most mentally draining builts I think I’ve ever done. Firstly, nothing is tight. The pieces fall so easily, and bigger pieces are held together sometimes only with one brick. And on top of all that, most parts you have to add involve flipping the falcon over. That causes so many pieces to fall off! So I’ve gotten used to putting them on without flipping the falcon over, which is very hard considering the falcon is only lifted a few inches. Ignoring all this, the falcon is pretty big and really incredible, but I still wish that the falcon wasn’t so fragile.

> 3 dayI had a blast putting the Falcon together. My only issues are the price of course which many complain about, also, my set was missing 1 piece with took LEGO over 2 weeks to get it to me. I only gave 3 stars for sturdiness which is fine with me. I understand a substantial build like this is would not be rock solid.

> 3 dayWaited all Black Friday week refreshing to get this on Lightning Deal only to have it sell out in less time than it took to add and buy it. Not pleased with Amazons handling of it as they either didnt put many for sale at the sale price (click bait) or fell victim to bots. Called twice and spent over a combined hour trying to get them to honor the deal (40% off) with no luck. Decided to go ahead and sell off some other sets to pay full price. If I hadnt opened a Prime Card to get a discount, Id have bought it off Lego.com to get points towards freebies and future purchases. I really appreciate how Amazon shipped it inside original Lego shipper box for added protection. Arrived in great shape. The unboxing was fun as the four inside boxes have art and movie quotes about the Falcon. The instruction manual is heavy and well-printed with lots of extras for fun reading. The build took about 20 hours ( and Id consider myself advanced). The minifigs chosen for the set are cool and appropriate. Id recommend building a display stand for them. The build itself was mostly fun as its both lego technic on the interior and shell covering for the outside and details. The detail, size, and weight are no joke. I feel this is definitely more a display piece than a playset and needs a vertical display stand in order to truly show off the detail without using too much shelf space. It can be difficult to move, so hang onto all instructions in case something falls off. I tried doing Lightailing and Briksmax, but its very difficult and in my mind not worth the headache. Overall, a great piece if you can afford it, find the time and room to build and display it, and feel satisfied not having much playability with it.

> 3 dayFor me putting this together by myself took roughly 38 hours. Part of that was because i was very tired when i started and had never attempted one of the huge Lego builds like this before, so i did not realize that the numbered bags were basically thrown into the four large boxes willy nilly. i ended up with several open large bags of pieces i didnt end up using until halfway through the build. And yes, i heavily facepalmed when i realized this but, really, i am not sure why Lego shipped it this way, considering that the huge AT-AT set they released prior to this, have the four big boxes in the proper order for the build. In any case, this oversight (and minor annoyance) did not deduct anything from my overall rating. The boxes themselves and the instruction manual are very cool, each box having a different quote about the Falcon on it, and the instruction book (which is bound with metal rings due to the huge amount of instructions needed) has several pages dedicated to factoids about the process of building the ship for the actual films. You can tell this set was designed by and for Star Wars fans. The building process is fantastic for the frame, and then intermittently throughout from that point on. So whats the deal? Well, for one thing, in a build of this length, the occasional missing of steps is pretty much inevitable, and this is compounded by the size. If you messed up something in the frame, you may not realize it until hours later when you connect the outer parts to that frame. The instructions are incredibly obtuse at times on what pieces connect where. Seriously, i have been doing Legos, puzzles, etc. avidly for much of my life and i still felt like the diagrams here were nigh worthless at times and it sometimes took trial and error, along with glancing at the instructions repeatedly for 10 minutes to finally fit the pieces in place. Another major issue, is the satisfaction level of the build itself. The frame is so solid and parts of it, like the cockpit and the front prongs, stay together pretty well. However, there are a LOT of sections, both of the underside and especially the top that are essentially resting on the frame and are not really held in place by anything other than gravity. Even moving it in the way shown in the book, you are almost guaranteed to knock pieces off or shift their position and there is then no feasible way to attach them without screwing up other parts. Its like trying to get your laundry from the dryer in your bare hands and a sock falls, and you drop other things trying to pick it up. I guess this is very true to the Falcon in the films though, having random stuff fall off. It DOES look very cool and detailed when finished, although the cockpit should have been bigger. On a ship this size, barely being able to fit Han, Chewie, Leia, and 3PO in the cockpit together is a huge miss, in my opinion. Overall, very dissatisfied with how flimsy the final construction is, but i had an absolute blast putting it together (mostly), and seeing the hugeness of it all finalized was great.

> 3 dayMy partner and I bought this LEGO set to cut back on evening television watching during the COVID shelter-in-place restrictions, and now dedicate a couple of nights per week to building this LEGO project together. Sortof like some people play cards or put together puzzles. Its a fun way to feel productive, and to connect without the distraction of television. Were now well on our way to finishing building this incredible Millennium Falcon model and cant wait to proudly display it! The book not only contains very detailed step by step instructions, but also a lot of nice history regarding Star Wars origins. This set is really awesome and is sure to keep you busy for weeks (if not months). Awesome project!

> 3 dayI really enjoy the building from start to finish!! It’s very stable not matter how much that’s added into the building process. It’s easy in some areas like the beginning to mid building(middle of book. It’s kinda scary and nerve wrecking when having to flip over to install the bottom panels. I wish lego gave you a stand you build to have the ship on its sides to help install the bottom portions. I think when you get onto building for bag 16 I think it’s very confusing to where exactly it should line up to. Also I recommend taking your time!! If you look close near the front, the top panel is slightly ajar. I tried fixing it but no avail. Looking back on the instructions I built it right but I put one piece backwards. Didn’t notice til later on but it was too late to fix it. Like I said, I totally recommend it. Have fun! the force be with you always!
