Takes care of when we have to plug our 30amp travel trailer into 20 amp household plug. Beats having to use a dog bone so we can moochdock and plug in.

My RV has a detachable power cord. When I bought it I asked for an adapter so I could use a standard 15amp cord to charge, etc. They gave me an adapter to go from the 30amp RV plug on the end of the RV cord to the 15amp outlet, meaning I would need to use the bulky 25 RV cord all the time. This adapter is what I wanted. This lets me plug the adapter directly into the port on the RV and allows me to use a standard 15amp (12 gauge) extension cord to plug it in. As a bonus, the little light on the adapter tells me the line is powered on.

The tolerance of the fit and thread are pretty tight and I have to work a little harder to get it on than my 30 amp cord. That said, it works fine and Im happy.

It worked great for our camping trip. It arrived the next day. Great price. Saved our camping trip.

This adapter is used to connect a Honda 2000i portable generator to the 30A Shore Power fitting on my boat. The on-board Kohler 7.3 kW is, typically, out-of-service. The adapter is a cheap solution enabling us to have AC power if a Boaters Emergency should arise , like, the dogs get warm, and they need the air cond. run for a bit or if the FirstMate MUST HAVE a smoothie or a pina colada from a blender.( yes, it takes ALL that gtor. has to start the a/c ... after start-up, it rolls along) The adapter also has an LED indicator. The cord doesnt get hot, so that leads me to believe that the wire gauge is adequate for 30 amp service.
