Lennox Healthy Climate X8788 MERV 16 Filter - 20 x 26 x 5 - Genuine Lennox Product

It was the same size as the one installed by my Lennox dealer. It dropped right in.

Item was exactly as advertised. Installation was easy.

These filters work great and are less than half the price that my A/C service company charges for the same Lennox Filter. However, if you have a Pure Air system, Id recommend that you spend $20 dollars more and get the Lennox X8795 or Lennox x8796 (if that one matches your system) Maintenance Kit which includes this $110 dollar filter, the two bulbs which cost $60 separately, and the titanium coded metallic filter which costs $90 separately. You can replace all three components of your pure air system for $130 dollars and still have spent half what the A/C guy would charge you for the filter alone. It is recommended these items be replaced annually, so I would do it at least once every 2 years, unless you have very heavy A/C usage or problems with dirt encroaching into your A/C system from the attic or garage. Then annually would be best.

Outrageously expensive for what it is. There is simply no reason on earth that an HVAC filter like this should cost so much! They are just made of cheap synthetic material, folded accordion-style, stuck in a cardboard box frame! Sadly, they cost even more at you local Big Box stores. Having this style of supposedly “far superior filter” added when we replaced our HVC system was a HUGE mistake. Compared to the basic thin-style $12 HVAC filters, all it captures is the money from our wallets!

My a/c contractor wanted to charge me twice as much for this part and to install it ! I saved a bunch by buying it here and installing it myself !

it was definitely cheaper than buying it from the repair guy that came to my house to try to sell me a new one at almost three times the price we paid for this one..
