> 3 dayOverall, the picture quality is very good. My dislike was that in order to watch it I had to pretty much darken the room to get that nice screen. It wasnt bad with some low light, but the picture got a bit pale with just a little light. Loved all the features that it came with... auto keystone, bluetooth, smart features and the battery powered to make it a true wireless projector. I found that the battery only lasted a little over an hour and not the 2.5 hours as listed. I found that putting it on sport mode gave me the brightest pictur, color and sharpness. That said, I had trouble with the bluetooth connectivity where it kept dropping the connection to my soundbar. I tried different bluetooth devices with it to make sure it wasnt just my bose soundbar and had the same results of dropping the connection. I ended up returning it based on the bluetooth drops. One of the reasons I bought this was so I wouldnt have to run wires across the room. So this, coupled with what I felt wasnt a bright enough picture with a little light in the room, i decided to go with another projector. But again, the picture qaulity on this was excellent. Just these two factors caused me to go with another projector.

> 3 dayI tried six of the top-rated full HD, battery-powered, portable projectors and found this one to be the best. Compared with other portable projectors, this has the best picture, most intuitive on-screen menu, and a true 2.5-hour battery life. You can get an additional 2.5 hours of projection time by plugging the LG PF50KA into a portable, rechargeable battery, such as the HALO Bolt 58830 ($110 on Amazon). (5.23.19 UPDATE: One reviewer noted problems with focus; I have not.) CAUTION #1: When comparing projectors, do not be fooled by brightness specifications in the product title or spec section that simply say lumens rather than ANSI lumens. (ANSI = American Nation Standards Institute). If the specs say LED lumens or just lumens, please recognize that your are reading advertising, not a real measure of brightness. The LG PF50KA is measured at 600 ANSI lumens. Thats as bright as any battery-powered portable projector on the market today. For apples-to-apples brightness comparisons, you need to know the ANSI lumens of each projector. CAUTION #2: When comparing projectors, be sure to check its native resolution. Just as with lumens, there is a lot of advertising fluff that contains abbreviations such as HD. Keep in mind that almost all modern projectors can play video files that were filmed at various resolutions, but they will downgrade the fidelity to what the projectors graphics processor and native lamp capacity are. (Analogy: You can watch a 4K movie on your HD TV, but it will show up in HD, not 4K. You would need a 4K TV to display a 4K movie.) The LG PF50KA has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 (width x height in pixels) considered Full HD by industry standards. It will display a 4K (3840 x 2160) movie at Full HD (1920 x 1080). Always check the native resolution of your projector so you know the maximum definition that projector is capable of displaying.

> 3 dayThis projector should be great. It is a small portable size, has a built in battery and low fan noise. It has a few good apps from LG WebOS and has full HD native resolution. On paper this should be incredible, but sadly its not in my experience. LG must have cut costs by adding a very low powered processor inside. Everything runs very slowly, from changing settings to selecting apps, its very sluggish. Movie playback is smooth though and it plays most file formats. The killer for me is the audio. Its absolute garbage. A cheap portable $10 speaker from a corner store would sound better! When connected to a bluetooth speaker the sound is out of sync. You can calibrate it in the settings but doesnt make a big difference. The battery gets me only around 75 minutes which is also disappointing so I have it connected to a socket. Maybe I have a defective unit?

> 3 dayThis is my third LG projector and this one doesnt disappoint. Stepping up from a LG PW800 800 Lumens 720p projector, the first thing you notice is the true HD detail. Colors are beautiful, text is crisp and even though this one is listed at 600 lumens, it is brighter. It also has a shorter throw, which is an added bonus. Bluetooth connected to my 5.1 surround sound system indoors, and to my outside speaker on the patio, both with excellent sound and no lag. The LG WebOS is nice, but the apps are limited. You get the basic ones, or can download, like Hulu, Netflix and Youtube, but dont expect much more....like VLC player. This is instantly fixed by adding my Amazon firestick. Fine tuning is done on top of the projector. The slider does have some give making it a little harder to focus where my last projector had a nice stiff slider making it easier to fine tune. It is nothing major, just wanted to point it out. Other things to note; the projector is light (great for portability) and the remote works great. There is lots of fine tuning options (color, contrast, sound input options, connecting phones, computers, etc.) Address some of the previous reviews, this projector does have fine tuning for color/contrast/brightness options, or you can just use the presets. I swear, people dont read their manuals before posting reviews. It also has a zoom option....right on the remote. It is watchable with lit windows on either side of the screen, but works best in darkened rooms. Not for full-on sunny rooms. The added TV Tuner is why I always choose LG....highly recommend this projector. No regrets.

21-11-2024You cannot adjusts the side angle. So unless you mount this perfectly straight, it will be distorted.

> 3 dayWe spent 9 months trying to decide on a good projector for backyard summer time use. We waffled between inexpensive ($150 or less) but worried about brightness vs expensive ($1000 or more). Finally settled on this for a mid range $566. We love it. It has plenty of connection ports (HDMI ARC, HDMI2, Audio, and more) but also streams via wi-fi and connects via Bluetooth. Just did a trial run in our backyard, and it exceeded our expectations for brightness and clarity on a 150 backyard screen. We are really looking forward to backyard use this summer. One drawback is its lack of ability to stream Disney or Amazon. It does have Netflix and Hulu already loaded though. After looking it up, I am reading that very few LG devices are capable of streaming Disney. We are happy enough with the ease of use, portability, and picture quality, that we will keep it and find another way to stream those services to it when needed. (Xbox, firestick, etc.)

> 3 dayI bought this and was at first thrilled with it’s performance and as a projector it is great! However, I soon discovered not only is this not really compatible with any apple products (computers, tablets, or phones), or most mobiles without purchasing a $20 app (twice which I’ll elaborate on later), the LG smart tv Software didn’t support Prime Video and several other streaming apps I wanted. So no way to watch without hooking up a laptop or phone, both of mine are Apple so no dice. For the price they really need to update their software to be more compatible and expand their app market place. Also for projecting from mobile it encourages you to buy an LG app on Mobile, which costs $20 one time. Not bad, but when it didn’t work it encouraged me to buy another app again for $20, which ultimately was a clone of the previous app, also did not work on my iPhone. I asked multiple times for a refund, never got a response from either apps’ help desk. $40 in for two defunct versions of the same app.
