It has not fallen off yet like other hooks and it feels like it may stay there for a very long time. I use it for my potato’s I’ve house plant that weights 6-8lbs. I did not install it but my BF did and there was quite a bit of a mess.

The size of the hook itself is actually quite small. Even for about a 1/4 inch macrame hoop, these hoops are too small for it. These hoops are good for thin or narrow S-shaped hooks, but be mindful of the smaller size if your hanging plant hoops hve any girth to them.
