> 24 hourBought a bunch of racing games for cheap and needed a steering wheel/pedals to go with it. I didnt want to break the bank, so I decided on Logitech. Ive had logitech flight sim hardware before and was pleased with their products.

> 24 hourSuper quality item which totally changes your racing reality. This is not just a vibrator like the hand controls. This unit will jump straight out of your hands. It spins, jerks, vibrates to add a layer of reality you just cant get it any other way. Highly recommended!

> 24 hourProduct box was open and damaged when received. Looked like a refurbished set. Still tried to use, but pedals would not work on PS4 or PC.

> 24 hourI had a Thrustmaster T-80 and 300RS, the 80 didnt have 180 turn radius which is unheard of for a racing wheel when cornering is very vital in racing games and even with the force feedback the 300rs has it doesnt come fully assembled as one piece like the G29 does. You have to screw the wheel onto the assembly but after awhile the grooves start to wear and tear and you start to lose control of your car when driving, then the control stops completely and after that the pedal set stops working not to mention the pedal resistance being very average.

> 24 hourNo need for me to get into details about this device, its reputation precedes it. I had a Win 98 Sidewinder with an RS232 that had lasted almost 20 years. I had not Sim raced in a couple of years, and needed a Wheel. After being suckered and trying to get a cheapy that would do the job I bit the bullet and got a G29. This review is more about Logitech than the Wheel itself. Let me state now that Im a guy that set up Thrustmaster and Ch Products HOTAS for others back on 98 systems and beyond, so Im no stranger to setting up peripherals. The competing Thrustmaster model is this units equal. There are pros and cons for each. They both have nearly equal software suites with the Trustmasters being slightly more user friendly. Both have a large knowledge base with users that have been where you are at, if and when you have a problem, but this is where the G29 starts to pull ahead of the Thrustmaster, both then and now. The actual tech support offered by Logitech is hands down better than Thrustmaster. Always has been and probably always will be. with both of these units youll be investing some time getting things just right. And here it is, this is why I went with the G29, its the same reason back in the day I preferred CH Products vs Thrustmaster (I actually had several from both) its because once you invest the time getting the G29 set up the chances of you having to do it all over again for whatever reason are way smaller than with a Thrustmaser device. This is just one guys opinion Im not dumping on Thrustmaster Im just saying that when the set up of a device plays such a big part of the simulation that this matters. A good example might be setting up a HOTAS ... it literally can take hundreds of hours to git one that performs as desired, and then hundreds of more hours flying with it so it become instinctual. With a Ch Product I could not fly a sim for years, and when I revisited it, it was always ready to go, not so much with the Trhustmaster devices, and in that example whos going to invest the effort to re-set up a HOTAS for some out of the blue sim time. Same deal with the Logitech. Set it up once, forget about it. Unplug it, stash it, pull it back out at some point and plug it in and in a few minutes your Driving. This wheel may be considered the standard but Logitech support, their belief in their product, their desire to create happy satisficed return costumers ... it second to none. Thats what makes this a better value, to me at least, its my time I value. And I believe the time I spend on setting up a Logitech is time better spent than setting up a Thrustmaster for my situation.
