LTGEM Case for Samsung T5/T3/T1 Portable 250GB 500GB 1TB 2TB SSD USB 3.1 External Solid State Drives

Perfect case for the Samsung external portable SSD. After having lost data with portable hard drives that are not travel or shock resistant, I decided to splash out on the Samsung SSD. This case fits perfectly and I feel the hard drive is very well protected. The case is compact and sturdy and seems to be well made. The little netted pocket is perfect for holding the cable and a couple of extra USB memory sticks.

It is a stiff case - not HARD as I recall the sales page classed it. Nonetheless, it is pretty durable and suitably protective from ordinary hazards to my SSD drive. I suspect if I were to take a framing hammer to it while inside the protective case, that sort of hazard may very well overcome its level of protection. Good news is that only rarely happens to me. This case is perfect for my Samsung Portable SSD. The fit is exact, not too tight and not too loose, and the case is solid and easy to use. I wish the pocket for the cables were a little larger, but this is a very minor issue. Since Ive only had the case for about a month, at this point I cant say anything about durability, but it does seem promising.

The T5 isnt as small as a thumb drive, but it is really small: 3 by 2. This case is really helpful in ensuring that the cables and the additional USB-C adaptor (for newer Macs and very thin ultrabook Windows machines) will always be there and in good condition when you want to use the speed and capacity of SSD.

Honest Review: Aesthetics/Protection were a two huge factors for me personally, an its safe to say that the case has a hard casing which feels pretty durable. The only thing that bothered me aesthetically was the logo inside, however, it truly isnt that bad since your focus goes to your external drive and cables. Overview: Worth the investment if you want to protect your T5.

My whole life (it seems!) is on my little Samsung SSD, so it was easy for me to justify the small added expense of some protection for it. Case fits the Samsung T5 perfectly. Compartment for cables. Padded recess is snug all around the T5, with hard-shell exterior. Perfect case for the Samsung T5 external SSD.

The case is advertised as being waterproof. Far from it. A small leak from a water bottle in my backpack near the case and the inside of the case was just as wet as the outside. T5 sufficiently drenched.

The LTGEM Case (Design 1) fits my Samsung T5 Portable SSD perfectly. Furthermore, it DOES NOT fall out of the case if held upside down (see photo) as some other reviewers have stated was an issue. Perhaps, they simply didnt push their SSD in all the way. The company that makes these little babies says there’s a 100% money-back guarantee if any quality-related issues arise. So, why not take advantage of the offer if the case is defective? This spiffy little case also holds the two cords that came with the SSD, and you don’t have to “roll them up very highly” as another reviewer stated. One of my cords is folded the way it came with the SSD and the other cord I fold loosely, and they fit in the mesh pocket just fine (see photo). The protection this case offers gives peace of mind regarding my SSD becoming damaged when traveling or toting it around. I’ve used my SSD regularly for 2.5 months now and haven’t had a single issue with the case--I don’t expect one either. Excellent value and quality for only $8!

Well designed to hold my Samsung T-1 SSD safely

Only reason for 3 and not 5 stars, if you rock the gel sleeve like most do, it won’t fit. I suppose I could’ve noticed that via the photos, but is an after thought. I’ll be buying a different one.
