Makita DML811 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Cordless/Corded Work Light, Light Only

This is a great addition to your tool kit if you work where there might not be power available. The three levels of brightness provide flexibility. I used it working in my attic where this light was much better than dragging a corded trouble line and lit up the area much better.

The light is very bright. The 5.0 battery is a must have for longer use. Ive used it for projects and camping.

Only disappointment was the snap on filter didn’t spread the light more. At least as bright as a 500W halogen.

I have several other Makita battery powered tools and a couple of corded ones, so when I looked for a battery work light there was no choice, it had to be a Makita for battery compatibility. The reviews on the cheapest model were not real good, and the top model was terribly expensive so I settled on this one, which is very bright (and has three levels of brightness) and a long battery life, four hours or more on high. It also has a cord so it can be plugged into a wall outlet, but I have not used that feature. I have used this both in my workshop and in my house when doing projects and have been impressed with the brightness and the white light color (thankfully not bluish, i hate that).
