Among the songs I noticed in the directors cut DVD of Mask I recently purchased, a subdued Thunder Road by Bruce Springsteen was much less exciting than the Going to Katmandu that I had expected. I was glad Ripple by The Grateful Dead still had some words floating in the background of the most dramatic cold Rocky not getting up scene.

Fantastic movie with a stellar cast.

I had never heard of this movie before, let alone seen it, and when my boyfriend suggested it I was pretty wary -- Im not a big Cher fan (and neither is he), so I took it with a grain of salt that perhaps others performances overruled her in this film. Not. I was genuinely impressed by her acting in this movie. And Sam Elliott ohhhh dont even get me started. LOVE him. Anyway, it wound up being a very good movie -- I really enjoyed the performance of the boy playing Rocky. A definite recommendation!
