MaxLax EL Wire Portable Set, 9ft Cuttable Battery Pack Neon Glowing Electroluminescent Wire Light kit(Green, Blue, Red, White, Pink) for Halloween Decorations DIY

These work great, I just got them a few minutes ago and started playing with them. My only complaint/question is that there is some type of ink(?) coming off of the red wire. It was the only one to come in a little baggie, so I would assume that is the reason why. But the ink comes off with a baby wipe easy enough so I’m not too worried about it. Like others have noticed, yeah the lights buzz but I bought these because of it. I wanted to make a neon sign out of them and neon signs tend to buzz. I’ll update when I have completed my sign!

My red wire is defective right out of the box, but the rest are decent.

These worked really well for a project of mine but I damaged a wire with hot glue and it stopped working. I cut the wire before that part and it started working again luckily. if you use hot glue just make sure its a low temp one, but it might be best to avoid it and use a different glue. I fixed mine by cutting off a portion at the point where the glue was too hot and the light began to work again. The lights are almost impossible to see in a lit room but show super well in the dark.

They work, but they have the sturdiness and build qualities of disposable toys. The battery boxes all produce high-frequency barely-audible buzzing from the electronics, each of varying pitch. There are 5 in the package so I just use the quietest one.

I work with a lot of devices that contain an electroluminescent backlight of some sort, so I’m quite used to the barely-audible whine that the battery holders produce. Each strand lit up perfectly on the first try, but were also not obtrusively bright, which is easier on my eyes in the dark compared to even my dimmest LEDs. I don’t yet know how I would like to use my EL wire, though I do have a few ideas including using them as underbody lighting for my RC cars, or perhaps emulating neon signs from the 1980s. Overall, I am very pleased with this five-color EL wire set.

These lights are not bright and not worth it. Does not come with adhesive at all.

Brightness was just as if not better than I expected. The lights do make a little buzzing sound when theyre on but its not a big deal. I used the red colored light as an accent for a Halloween mask and it came out great! Over all exactly what I was looking for.

Nice to have a variety of colors with this pack.
