> 3 dayI am not an “operator” and will never conceal carry. The riskiest environment the bag will be in will be sharp elbows trying to get an overhead bin on a Delta flight. I am a traveling consultant...4 wheel carryon spinner and laptop bag. I have had the bag for 2 weeks, 5 cities, and 6 flights. The main compartment holds everything I need including headphones, chargers, and every dongle and connection you can think of plus a few bags of chips and a lightweight coat. The laptop sleeve is padded and holds 1 laptop and 2 ipads and 1 notebook with no problem. The side pockets are huge for water and glasses case. The suitcase handle passthrough works like a charm. Even the conceal carry section now securely holds folders and a newspaper. Shoulder straps are very comfortable and since I am not going down range on a mission I can take off the waist straps. The quick release shoulder straps to grab your weapon is actually a great feature to take off the backpack in an airplane aisle without hitting a fellow passenger in the head. I have a few Maxpedition products including the Falcon II for hiking. Everything is high quality and will last forever.

Greater than one weekI purchased this bag to replace an STM bag that Id carried with me for years. I read as many reviews as I could, watched countless YouTube videos and decided to take the plunge with this one. Overall, Im not blown away. I think there is a very specific form and function this bag serves, Im not sure its 100% for me. I wanted a durable bag that has strong zippers, and wont wear out in a year. One of the main components that I was looking for in a Tactical style bag was that it had an easily accessible sleeve for a laptop. This bag offers an easily accessible sleeve for a laptop - but the fit is very sloppy on my 15 MacBook Pro. It would easily fit a 17 laptop, but it doesnt hold the laptop in place at all. If you were using this with a 13 laptop it would be WAY too loose. I dont plan on using the CCW features of this bag - however should the need arise, Im glad its there. The storage pockets are well built - zippered pouches galore - lots of room for all your bits and pieces. Time will ultimately tell if this is the right bag for me - but overall my impressions are bleh... I feel like for the price I should have gotten something much more substantial and the features should warrant the price. In this bag, I dont feel like they do.

> 3 dayAll the quality and versatility of Maxpedition, but more versatile due to its non-tactical design. If you want the versatility and functionality of Maxpedition, but without the attention-drawing MOLLE straps., this is the gear line for you.

> 3 dayI got this for my son to use for college. We were tired of buying a new backpack every year and decided to invest in something that will last him 5 or more years and this was the best choice around...with Maxpedition you really get your moneys worth from their products!

> 3 dayProbably also good on the trail as well. Fits everything I need with room to spare for extras (coat, change of clothes, etc) Only minor gripe is item accessibility—as someone who previously carried messenger bags/gearslingers, it is a little more difficult to get access to items. Though this is just the trade-off for more comfortable carry and less chance of back issues down the road. Ultimately the bag is fairly easy to slip off one arm (or release the buckle clasp) and get the bag across your side when needed. But getting it back on is a minor challenge in crowded areas. Worth investing in the different mountable pocket options to hold frequent use items more accessibly.

> 3 dayI upgrade to this from a Maxpedition Falcon II because I wanted to move away from that tacticool look. Ive used this backpack for about 5 months now and I can confidently say I dont think backpacks can get any better. There are a couple of complaints Ive seen in the reviews and I wanted to address those: 1 - The side pockets are zippered at an awkward angle. This is backpack is designed for concealed carry. There are handles on the side of the backpack so you can sling it to the front of you body without having to fully take it off your back and still have one strap around one of your arms. These side pockets are designed to be accessed from that type of carry. People dont seem to realize this. 2. The water bottle holders on the outside of the pack suck. Agreed. BUT - they also included INTERNAL water bottle holders that work perfectly and can even accommodate a 32 oz nalgene bottle. I only use the external water bottle pockets for quick access, flat items like gum or whatever. 3. - There is no outside pocket. I dont see this an an issue as there is ample organization options in the main compartment that I can access as easily as if there were an outside pocket. Plus if you use the internal water bottle pockets, then you can drop stuff in those outside pockets if you really need them that available. Also the two main compartments have an option for TSA locks. Less unsecure pockets = a potentially more secure bag. Overall, I can tell a lot of love went into designing all this backpack. I was a huge Maxpedition fan before. After experiencing the quality and attention to detail on this pack Ill never buy a backpack from any other brand. Worth every cent.

> 3 dayThis backpack is comfortable, seems like it is built very well, and I like the looks of it. The interior is a little small for normal sized folders and textbooks. A 3 ring binder would not sit flat i the bottom and must be wedged in the bag at an angle. Not the best bag for students.

> 3 dayIve looked at Maxpedition gear for a few years now, and never really gone down that road - until now. Always settled for something a little cheaper, a little gaudier, a little...less than. But I kept eyeballing this gear for the appearance, the NTT (non tactical tactical), and the reviews - which were usually glowing - until I finally pulled the trigger (so to speak). A very solid, well crafted work of art. Its as fun to wear as it is to load up with gear. Every seam, every zipper, every aspect is designed for form AND function. Very satisfied.
