Great little meter. Prob not the most accurate SWR meter out there, but also not very expensive. But good enough for the average HAM/GMRS nerd. And good thing I purchased. I checked SWR on my shack set up running a KG1000G+ and Comet GP-6NC and SWR was 1.2:1 in the GMRS bands. Then tested same radio with a cheap Nagoya mag mount mobile antenna and SWR was over 3.0:1 on same frequency. Without this little meter, I wouldve never known. Possibly burning up my high dollar radio. Definitely recommend if youre new and just getting into radio.

Adj. for power and freq. are time consuming. Once set its good.

Surprisingly solid and well made. I got very reasonable power, VSWR, and frequency measurements in the Marine VHF band 156-162 MHz. The frequency counter function provided the expected xmit frequency within .001 MHz, the resolution of the device. VSWR into a dummy load and a known good antenna were near 1:1. A known poor antenna measured 19:1. All as expected. Not a precision shop instrument but great for the money and adequate to verify good transmitter and antenna function.

Good battery life and you can tweak the calibration if you find it is a little off. Good build quality. Should be durable.

Absolutely a must have item if you are getting into ham radio or gmrs. If you plan on installing radios or changing antennas, this tool lets you know if the antenna and cable is a good match for the radio. I had to purchase a couple of adapters to be able to test different handheld radios and a dummy load to test how much power the handheld and mobile radios are putting out. Some handheld radios needed a SMA Female/Male to RP-SMA Female/Male RF coax adapter connector kit to be able to test different radio to antenna configurations. All in all great device and comes with what is needed for most mobile radio antenna combinations. The pictures are of everything that I have needed to check a radio to antenna so far, not everything pictured is included with purchase of this meter.

Difficult to operate; meter doesn’t read or give any kind of info and you can’t adjust the settings.

Works very well and it is accurate enough to let you know if your radio set up is performing properly. Excellent value for the money.
