My subwoofer came with, what seemed to me, to be a very lightweight cable. I was worried that the lightweight cable could be shortchanging me on performance. I swapped the spindly little lightweight guy with this cable, and ran the sub through some tests. I could hear the improvement. My wife thinks Im crazy, but I can hear the difference. Will it make up for issues that have nothing to do with the quality of the signal coming down the line, between your receiver and sub: no. It did, however, have me the best possible connection between the two that I could imagine. Bought this to replace a 12 year old Monster cable that was only 6 ft long. This cable delivers a slightly better sound even though it is much longer. Now I can move my subwoofer where I want it.
