It is a stand for your Berkey. Lets you get a cup under the spigot if it is on a counter or table top rather than hanging off an edge. I really suggest it if you are planning for your Berkey to overhand a sink, since this keeps the spigot further from the sinks splash zone. Trust me, if your Berk is next to your sick you will see from the splashes water spotting the stainless that you do throw up a good deal of water (often distasteful stuff floating in a used dish).

This is a great heavy duty stand to get your water purifier away from the counter edge. Works great with my alexapure. Comical that flavor comes up in the rating stars. Dont think anyone will be tasting their stand.

Nice rubber feet prevent the filter from slipping off, looks good in chrome under the chrome filter.

The Berkey stand was the perfect size and height and made the situation much easier. The height of the stand gave me the ability to place a glass, cup and even a stove-top water kettle underneath the faucet. Before I got the stand, the Berkey was over the sink counter top and the spout was over the sink. Containers had to filled while in the top half of the sink. The water kettle didnt fit in the sink so I had to maneuver to place water directly in kettle. I didnt want a two-step process to enter water in the kettle. And now only one step and very convenient to use with the height of the Berkey stand.

Great fit for Royal Big Berkey, sturdy stand. Somewhat pricey. Wish it was just a little taller

The Big Berkey water purification system works entirely by gravity. Gravity fills the purified water container, and gravity empties it via a spigot at the bottom of the reservoir of purified water. The problem is that, in order to fill a standard-sized drinking glass, the Big Berkey must either be placed at the edge of a shelf or countertop, or it must placed on a stand. This stainless steel stand neatly solves this problem. We were afraid that, once on the stand, the Berkey might be top heavy and unstable. However, this is definitely not the case. Our large drinking glasses can easily be filled with purified water, and the Berkey seems just as stable as it was when it was sitting directly on the countertop.

This keeps the system not only off the counter but also high enough so you can use the the system to get the filtered water! If you are going to invest in this, save the planet, and care for your self? Get the stand

I wished I big this when I bought my Berkey...

Happy with how it fits on my counter, i tried to go with out the stand but my attempt to raise the Berky to be able to fill a glass or bottle never worked right Well worth the money!
