> 3 dayMy kids love these puzzles. There are enough pieces to be challenging for my 5 year old but still doable. The pieces are pretty sturdy and I see them lasting a long time. (i do teach my kids to not be abusive to things that shouldnt be abused, like cardboard puzzles, so I cant speak to sturdiness if your child is prone to chewing on things or dunking them in toilets).

> 3 dayThese puzzles came packaged together but also wrapped separately. I split them up and gave one to my nephew and one to my friends child. In both cases, they were huge hits. Its amazing how many people LOVE to do puzzles and youll find that out when you buy these. The present was unwrapped and immediately, everyone wanted to put it together. These are really very nice puzzles with big pieces perfect for little hands. Also, the pictures dont do them justice -- wait until you get them put together. Theyre simply lovely! Many people exclaimed oohs, aahs, and how beautiful when they saw them completed. I got them for about $6 each on Christmas special and I should have bought two sets. My dad said he looked all over for nice puzzles for kids and couldnt find one -- I did well! Thanks Melissa and Doug!!

> 3 daythis is just great for 2 year olds. i bought it for my 2 year olds birthday, and its still the first thing she goes to whenever we come home. so far shes learned a couple of the names, and asks about the others so shell remember those before long too. so far shes gotten the idea of rotating pieces to make them fit, and is beginning to understanding about finding the right place for each piece too. the design is appealing, size is just right for the age group, the piece are strong enough to resist being stood on over carpet (though theyre made of thick, good quality cardboard, not ply, so thered be a limit to that), and its also scientifically accurate within a certain degree of artistic license, planets are basically the right colour and comparative size. its also good that includes some moons, asteroids, nebulae, and a galaxy, promoting further inquisitiveness. l

> 3 dayMy newly six year old daughter liked these puzzles quite a bit, and assembled each of them in about 15 minutes. They are attractive, and the planets one has the educational advantage of labeling the planets as well as the Moon and the Sun. My daughter has taken to playing Twister on the solar system puzzle. She want me to call out Left Foot on Mars or Right Hand on a Nebula. So, the entertainment value of these puzzles has been surprisingly long. Given that these are floor puzzles, I would have thought they would be appropriate for walking on, but they are neither tough enough looking, nor do they stick to the underlying floor (they slide when you trod on them), so they are not floor coverings. So, my daughter put them back in the box after assembling, and maybe shell assemble them again, or save them for visitors. They might thus be more appropriate for daycare facilities where puzzles can be assembled many times by many children.
