We really enjoyed these buckets. My two-year-old didnt so much build castles as she did pour water from one bucket to the other.

First be aware they are not as big as you might think. Check the measurements and try to visualize it comparing it to things already in your home. However, if you are traveling to the beach, it is lovely not to take up too much space. So this may be a bonus. There are 4 small buckets, so lots to share. Very sturdy. My grandkids loved them.

My one and a half year old really enjoyed playing with this.

Bought this last minute when I realized we’d lost our beach toys during a move. My son loved filling the buckets with water and using it for baptizing us in the pool. He also loves using them in the bath for his water cogs.

These work great in the sand and you can really see the designs on top. Nice to have nesting buckets and even a bucket with a handle. Kids enjoyed them. Ages 6, 4, 3.

My son loves these! Definitely worth the money spent and I can see these lasting a long time.

My 16 month old LOVED these buckets. First of all, he likes stacking and nesting toys, and these were a perfect size for him. Also having the cute sea creatures on the bottom was fun for us, as we are just learning to count things. He would look at them on the pail, and it was remarkable how well the forms came out when we made castles. We also got a bucket with a rake and shovel, but they didnt get used at all - he just wanted these nesting pails. Well done Melissa & Doug.

From the glowing reviews I imagined that the buckets were really sturdy but mine were somewhat flexible and could bend fairly easily and the handle detached itself once or twice. My 5 year old like them though and like the way they stacked so that she could carry them easily. I realised from the outset that there was only one handle but it would have been nice if more had handles and still stacked. Im not downgrading them because of this however as they were exactly as described I checked out some others in a store with a target as its logo and the Melissa and Doug ones appeared good value and of similar conbstruction so maybe Im expecting a lot...
