This smart plug works great and is just what I was looking for. It was much easier to set up and more reliable as compared with a prior smart plug that I purchased from Amazon (Wemo). The price of this Meross smart plug was also great. What REALLY impressed me, though, was how incredibly responsive the company was when I had a question. I was a bit confused regarding how to set up the timer feature so I emailed them via their website. Frankly, Im used to lousy customer service and didnt really expect to receive a response, much less something helpful. Much to my surprise, within hours of emailing them I got a very pleasant response from Suda with the customer response team, who provided a clear and concise answer to my quandary. Within minutes of receiving the email I had the smart plug configured to turn on and off at specified times just as Id hoped. I HIGHLY recommend this company and will certainly buy other smart devices from them when I have such a need.

I got this little guy to add to my other smart plug setup. It works perfectly with google home so Im sure it will work with others. I didnt have an apple home device so I couldnt try that feature but Im sure it works all the same. The app is really simple and easy to setup. This is a set and forget type of item. It just works!

After multiple attempts, the unit does not work.

It does work but setting it up is not that straight forward. it also required setting up another account to manage it. If I choose again, I will buy something on the alexa list of plugs instead

Smart plug that at least is smart enough to place the QR code on the side do it could be scanned without removing it from the receptacle. Just works and simple to install with homekit

A bit confusing if using HomeKit, but worked easily with the Meross app! Easy to install and in my case are turning my grow lights on and off perfectly

Spent two hours trying to connect this plug with Alexa with no success. Sent it back and ordered the Amazon plug instead ... 5 minutes later I was connected.

This is my 4th Meroos device, it works like a charm and OOB, no issues so far, able to pair with Apple HomeKit without any problem.

Setup was annoying. I could get it in HomeKit but the app is very finicky about adding the device in the app itself. I honestly wouldn’t care about getting it in the app except for that HomeKit keeps telling me it need an update that can only be performed by the app. Took awhile but finally got the firmware updated which stopped HomeKit from messaging me every few hours to tell me that it needed an update....oh wait. No it didn’t. It keeps messaging me even though no updates are available. I checked online and this is a widespread issue. I gave it a couple weeks and the problem isn’t going away. I just bought another outlet brand and this one is either going to someone I hate or in the trash.

Ive been in the smart home game for about 3.5 years now and have used multiple Wemo Smart plugs as well as Amazons own Smart plug to automate various things in my house via Alexa. I came to know the Meross company from their smart garage door opener that I use everyday and love. They offer tremendous value on products that either meets or beats the competition in terms of features. This Smart Wi-Fi Plug Mini is no exception. Lets see how it stacks up against the Wemo and Amazons Smart Plug. PRICE: As of this review (9/30/20), Wemo is $18/ea on Amazon. Amazon Smart Plug is $25/ea. Meross Smart Plug is $11.59. In my case, I got the 4pk for $37 so even cheaper per unit. Winner is clear. CONNECTIVITY: Amazon smart plug - works only with Alexa. Wemo - Works with Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit. Meross - Works with Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, Nest Hub, SmartThings. Again, winner is clear. FORM-FACTOR: Meross smart plug is the smallest of the three. All three of these will allow you to plug two into one set of single-gang outlets. However, due to the width of the Amazon and Wemo smart plugs, your double-gang outlets will be covered and rendered useless (See pictures). Not the case with Meross, you can still use the adjacent outlets! SET-UP: Smart home tech is getting so smart now that the set-up process keeps improving. I believe its fairly easy and straight forward to set up all three so itll be a tie. EASE-OF-USE: I mostly use control these plugs via Alexa and they all work like theyre designed so again, its a tie. CONCLUSION: The Meross small size combined with its myriad of connectivity options all at a hard to beat price makes it the clear winner here. Smart tech is finally affordable. My first Wemo cost me $35 back in 2017.
