Solid Collection.

I will not say much but a few words about what i feel about this game and my purchasing of it. Well actually i got it as a gift. None the less, Metal Gear is the best video game in all of history. Mostly, if not all video games aspire to be as well made as Metal Gear but they could never reach its level. Regardless, the game play is perfect and the story line is as good as the explosions in a Michael bay film.

I will keep my psi forever and play the MGS series until Im to old to move. Kojima

How could this not get 5 stars? Each game is 5 stars and hold up quite well to this day.

Loved it, great quality when I received it. Still getting through peace walker currently, but metal gear solid 2 and 3 were both wonderfully remastered and still look and play amazingly, aside from the occasional querk that is to be expected of old metal gear solid controls. But these games still feel and play beautifully, and the ending of 3 will have you close to tears with its wonderful story arc and powerful orchestra. metal gear solid 2 on the other hand, while it has its fair share of powerful moments, is more of a confusing and thriller-type; which is perfectly done in my opinion, be it somewhat biased. All in all, if you love metal gear solid 4, and never really understood the references it made; or if youve been with metal gear from the start and just wanted a nostalgia bomb to the face like I did, pick this up as soon as you can. You wont find a better deal with any other collection, apart from possibly the Legacy Collection; but I havent gotten my hands on it, so youll just have to look into that yourself

I heard Peace Walker was good but I just didnt feel like getting back into handheld gaming so when I heard it was coming to PS3 in the HD bundle I couldnt wait to play. Peace Walker takes the classic Stealth gameplay that the series is known for and adds the ability to bring 3 buddies into the mix in Co-op missions. It also has a versus mode where teams can square off in deathmatch or compete in challenges a la MGS4(Metal Gear Solid 4:Guns of the Patriots) and MGO (Metal Gear Online). Both modes are highly addictive, as in the array of options presented to the player while completing the campaign. Do loads of side missions while building up your mother base (The future notorious Outer Heaven), develop new weapons, recruit and train soldiers, then send them on missions themselves, build your own Metal Gear! The replayability is endless. The cast of characters is colorful, yet true to the series, lots of references to MGS3 Snake Eater are made throughout it, and the true motives of The Boss are revealed. All in all this is probably the most replayable metal gear ever hands down.
