This mount is solid and the screws provide a very secure grip on the phone. If you mount your phone with the screen facing the mount though, it can interfere with the operation because of conductivity to the screen. It works great with the screen pointed out though, the mount doesnt show up in the view. Its a very well functioning mount, both on the tripod and using the built-in foot. Very highly recommend!

There are no magnets, springs or features that can fail. This is a nuts and bolts adapter for securing smart phones to a tripod. You can control the amount of pressure on the phone so theres no unnecessary tension that would mar your phone. I have an iPhone 14 Max Pro which fits, but it is too heavy to use as a stand alone; it needs securing to a tripod or stick. Youll have to tighten/untighten the bolts each time you use place or remove the phone; it doesnt just snap in. And thats fine for my purposes.
