> 3 dayIf you are trying to make the difficult decision between the new Microsoft Surface 3 or the Macbook Pro, you have come to the right place. As a college student who plans on going into finance, I recently had to make the same decision for freshman year, I purchased the Microsoft Surface three. Now, let it be known that I have had an Apple MacBook Pro for the past three years. I love my mac, and always will. It is aesthetically pleasing, simple, uncluttered, has a fingerprint reader, the new touch bar, and seamlessly integrates with my other Apple products (iPhone, AirPods, apple watch, etc.). However, for college students, I have found that the pros of the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 outweigh those of the Apple Macbook Pro. Both laptops are very portable; however, the Surface is a tad more, weighing in at 2.83 pounds and dimensions of 0.7 by 11.9 by 7.5 inches, compared to the Macbook Pros 3.1 pounds and dimensions of 0.61 by 12 by 8.4 inches. The Macbooks retina display beat out that of the Surface, coming in at 2,560 by 1,600 pixels vs. the 2,256 by 1,504 pixels that the Surface offers.

Greater than one weekThis computer is obviously very sweet. The touch screen, the lightweight it has great battery life too. It also charges up super quick, well worth the price.

Greater than one weekI am a Mac user. But, I was having a terrible time using Microsoft word on my Mac. It was impossible. So, I was forced to purchase an additional laptop in order to complete a massive writing project. Microsoft Surface Laptop is so easy to use. I havent even gotten all the accessories yet, and I absolutely love it. It has features of an iPad with the flexibility of a laptop. It is lightweight and very user friendly. I might very well become a windows user after all.

> 3 dayMy surface’s battery swelled up and I’ve repeatedly tried to get in touch with Microsoft. I loved the surface laptops, but the screen cracks and the battery swelling. Not to mention NON REPAIRABLE. I don’t get why Microsoft would sell customers a expensive laptop without being able to fix a DEFECT IN THE LAPTOP. I was able to get ahold of one dead end at Microsoft’s work around phone line. My laptop WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. There suggestion was to give them nearly 600$ more for the same laptop and THEY STILL TAKE THE OLD ONE! I can not believe the experience I’ve had with this laptop or company. And trying to change me an inflated price twice!

> 3 dayThe wifi keeps disconnecting. Support cant help. They just update and reinstall drivers and update windows and do some stupid diagnostic test which tests everything but the wifi. But the wifi keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. Its so annoying. Too bad Im passed the 30 day, now i cant return it. Gonna have to sell it on ebay and take a big loss.

> 3 dayI bought the Surface Laptop 3 for work as a software engineer and its perfect. It the right size and with the dock (bought separately) I can easily go from a desktop experience to being on the go in just a couple of seconds. My only complaint is that 250gb just isnt enough storage space and other than an external ssd there really is no expansion capability. Hopefully Microsoft will fix that shortcoming in the future.
